Chapter 485 - Chapter 486: Dragon God Universe

Whis eyed Jiren from the side, instantly noticing that something about him had changed.

As a god, Whis was especially sensitive to shifts in power. Before this, he could barely suppress Jiren if he really tried—but now, that was no longer guaranteed.

With the strength Jiren had just gained, even Whis using the power of a God of Destruction might not be able to beat him anymore.

He swallowed hard, thinking,

"What on earth happened? In just such a short time, his power skyrocketed this much?"

To be honest, he was starting to feel a little envious. Whis had basically given up improving himself for years now—because he couldn't see any path forward.

But unlike Jiren, he would never recklessly challenge Kaito. Whis was far too cautious for that kind of suicidal move.

Kaito had no intention of entertaining Whis anyway—he didn't like that clownish outfit of his.

Now that he'd met everyone, he was ready to take care of the final task.

Keeping three universes separated was far too annoying. He intended to erase the barriers between them and merge them into one single universe.

And this new universe would truly be his domain. He named it the Dragon God Universe.

He briefly explained this to the others. Vados and Marcarita didn't object at all—they were no longer angels of their own respective universes. Their new status was Dragon God Guards.

Android 18 tilted her head, looking half-confused. The idea of fusing universes felt unreal to her. Kaito gave her the simplified version: the universe just got "a little bigger."

Short, direct, and honestly accurate.

Kaito didn't drag things out—right in front of everyone, he activated his divine power.

His eyes burst into radiant golden light. At the unseen edge of the cosmos, invisible waves spread outward. The walls between the three universes dissolved, and the fusion completed quietly, without any sound or spectacle.

Aside from a handful of gods, nobody even realized their universe had expanded—or that they now had a new sovereign.

...

In the Palace of the Omni-King,

The Grand Priest had already sensed the shift. He approached Zeno to report it.

Zeno let out a little "Oh," and said,

"Those three universes already belonged to Kaito anyway. He can mess with them however he wants! You don't have to tell me every time, okay?"

The Grand Priest bowed. Dutiful as always—he'd report even if he knew Zeno wouldn't care.

He was about to turn and leave when Zeno suddenly called him back.

"Hey! How's the carousel coming along? I'm so bored!"

The Grand Priest stiffened. Painful memories surged through his mind. His face twisted into a smile uglier than crying.

"Still… in preparation…"

Zeno frowned.

"Not finished yet? Hmm… then just build a whole amusement park! When Kaito gets here, we'll play together!"

The Grand Priest suffered internally—but outwardly, he replied,

"...Yes, my lord."

While the two supreme beings discussed the amusement park's construction, far away on an unknown planet, a pair of fools were plotting to cause trouble on Earth.

A short creature who looked like a yellow rat was holding a strange device, excitement all over his face.

Beside him stood a tall figure shaped like a demon.

The two were Babidi and Dabura.

Babidi held a detector almost as big as himself. The needle was violently shaking at the maximum limit.

He shouted excitedly,

"Wonderful! Such overflowing energy! If we absorb this, Buu will awaken ahead of schedule!"

Dabura frowned and looked around.

"But Lord Babidi, where is the source? We already wiped out all life on this planet. There's no strong fighter here."

Babidi shook his head.

"He's not on this planet."

"What?! The detector can sense him from that far away? What kind of monster is he? With all due respect, Lord Babidi, we may not be his match."

"Hehehe, don't worry. We'll check things out first. Did you forget my ability?"

He looked at the "M" on Dabura's forehead.

Dabura immediately understood. A wicked smile spread across his face.

"My apologies. As long as he has even a shred of evil in him, he won't escape Lord Babidi's grasp!"

Babidi basked in the flattery and laughed proudly.

"Tell the others to get ready. Our next target is that guy. This is a big catch!"

He called Dabura along, and the two floated toward their ship, eager beyond belief.

...

On Earth,

Whis had already left. With the barriers gone, he could now travel freely.

Jiren hadn't departed yet—Kaito assigned him to guide Goku and the others. Their strength was far too low, and Kaito didn't want to fix every crisis personally.

He had no idea more idiots were heading his way again. Right now he was speaking with Zeno through Vados's staff.

Zeno's childish voice echoed from the staff,

"Kaito! I told the Grand Priest to start building the amusement park! When it's done you have to come! It'll be quick!"

Hearing that, Kaito instantly pictured the Grand Priest's grief-stricken face. He remembered well how the old man despised the carousel last time.

And given the Grand Priest's ability, building a whole amusement park should be trivial. This so-called "preparation" was clearly him stalling for time.

And indeed, at this very moment, the Grand Priest stood stiffly with his staff, looking constipated.

There was no escaping this duty. His only hope now was that Zeno would quickly get bored.

Marcarita, standing beside Kaito, had been suppressing laughter. She covered her mouth to stop the sound. Vados glanced at her and said,

"Marcarita, if you want to laugh, then laugh. Holding it in looks painful."

Marcarita glared at her.

"Nonsense! I'm not laughing at Father! And it's not like I'm happy about this!"

"Huh? I never said you were."

Marcarita froze—she had just exposed herself.

The Grand Priest forced a stiff smile and spoke into the staff,

"Marcarita… you really are my good daughter. I didn't spoil you in vain."

Marcarita shrank back behind Kaito, suddenly very quiet.
