(Three months later)
Elara sat in front of the doctor as she did her check up, her baby bump is showing already.
"You're all done ma'am" the doctor smiled and stood up packing her equipments preparing to leave
"Be sure to follow all the instructions I listed for you" the doctor reminded gently and she nodded
Dr. bright always come every two weeks to check on her and the baby, she was the Doctor, the old Mr Williams Blackwood (Damien's grandfather) paid to check on her every two weeks. The old man had made sure she was physically cared for, but emotionally, she was entirely on her own.
She still hasn't set her eyes on Damien since she came here, he doesn't seem to care about her or their child and the house maids aren't any better, The maids were no better. They took every chance to mock her, her clothes, her accent, her village roots. At first, it stung. But now, she had built a wall around herself. She coped the only way she knew how by disappearing into the pages of her books, she picked up one of the books she had brought with her to read
She have read them several times already and could even read it off hand, but she still chose to read it over and over again in her Free time
She sat at her favorite spot beside the window and began to read, she rarely leave her room, so sitting beside the window and having a clearer view of the the whole house is her daily routine
A sleek white car drove into the compound and gaze followed it till it got to the parking lot and stopped
The backdoor opened and Damien came out, he was wearing a white T shirt on black pants
Her eyes widen in shock as she watched him walk to the entrance, she closed the book she was reading and stood up
"Is he finally here to check on her and the baby" she thought anxiously as she waited expecting the door to open at any time
"Gosh, what was I even expecting" she smiled sadly after waiting for several minutes.
Downstairs few minutes back>>
"Welcome master" the butler greeted respectfully as Damien arrived at the entrance
"Hmm" he hummed in response and entered with the butler trailing behind him
"Where's she" Damien asked as his expression turned cold
"She's upstairs in her room" he replied and Damien nodded and climbed up the stairs and headed for his study.
He would not had come her if not for his grandfather that forced him "Go check on your wife," the old man had barked. "Face your responsibilities."
The thought made Damien's jaw tighten.
He entered the study and Sat on his seat and opened his laptop and began working on it, that's what he does each time to relieve his stress
His thoughts soon wandered to Evelyn,he began typing furiously as he remembered her crying, Her tear streaked face. Her words at the hospital. "Just leave, Damien. I can't look at you right now."
A surge of frustration tore through him. In more furious motion, he pushed his laptop and everything else on the table to the floor with a loud crash. He slammed his fist against the desk, gritting his teeth.

Elara stepped out of the room and made to go downstairs,if he refuse to come see her then she could go see him herself
She was close to the staircase, when she heard the sounds of things crashing to the floor in the room beside her
She turned to face the door and surely she heard sounds of someone punching something she went to the door and made to open it but stopped herself
This scene looks kinda familiar, yes, the day she got r*ped , her grip on the door handle loosen and she shifted back
Several crashing noises followed after but she never opened the door, she ran back to her room instead panting
(The next day)
"Ma'am, you'll be having breakfast with the master" the butler informed Elara
"Really" she asked with wide eyes
"Yes, you shouldn't keep him waiting" he said and left
Elara smiled widely, maybe he didn't hate her after all, she quickly changed into something else and rushed out of the room, she took a deep breath before going down the stairs, she sighted him seating calmly on the dining the dishes were served already, she smiled and walked up to him
"sorry to keep you waiting" she said and he only nodded and she Sat opposite him, he did not even glance at her, she picked up her utensils and began to eat,but he only took a few bites and after a few minutes stood instantly
"You're leaving already" she asked and also stood up
"What, were you expecting me to spend the whole day here with you?,in case you don't know this, the sight of you disgusts me so much you think I'll come here on my own" he said coldly and walked out
The spoon fell off her hand and she bit her lips tightly to avoid tearing up, so she was just excited for nothing, she tried so hard to control herself but the tears rolled down her cheeks freely
"What?, you're disappointed Nina smirked coming from behind with two other maids
"Seems you still haven't known your place here, you're just an insignificant fly to the Blackwoods, master can never..."
"Nina " an voice yelled and they all turned to face the direction of the voice and saw a lady who seems to be in her mid 30s standing there
"Miss Jane" the girls called excitedly and ran to hug her, Elara has never seen her before, she took the opportunity to go upstairs since the girls were distracted
She was lucky the lady was there on time if not the girls would have humiliated her badly, she went to her room and sat on the bed and her thoughts wandered to Damien. "Why does he hate me so much? Would he ever see the baby as anything but a mistake?"
She sighed heavily, her heart aching for answers she wasn't sure would ever come.
