Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: The Tears of Asia Argento

[Yuuki Kagurazaka Model: 45%]

After establishing a world peace... slightly imposed on the population, Gorou left the DBZ universe.

He didn't leave the leadership headless.

Goku Jr became the temporary regent, until his return.

The only commands left to the young Saiyan are: get stronger without slacking off, continue conquering every habitable planet in the galaxy, and expand the millennium among the stars.

Did he use the dimensional portal in full view of everyone? Yes, Gorou didn't hide this aspect of the machine.

As for unauthorized use? Nobody can beat Goku Jr and all Millennium members are loyal at present.

He saw no risk of betrayal.

At that moment, the only concern in Gorou's mind was whether or not he should leave the Millennium forces in this reality.

Finally, he decided to give up bringing such power.

Why such a turnaround?

Especially since such an army would have allowed him access to all the magical and technological knowledge of the DxD universe...

This absurd decision is caused by an element currently beyond his control: the system.

The Yuuki model seems to reject any overly brutal approach.

On the other hand, it clearly appreciates intrigues, manipulations, and betrayals—but always under the guise of a supposedly "noble" objective.

Thus, the world peace established on Earth in the DBZ universe wasn't enough to fulfill the model's completion conditions.

Gorou needed world domination, but subtle, invisible, almost insidious... and above all, he had to avoid one thing:

'I mustn't become a dictator... damn Yuuki.'

He had forgotten a crucial detail about his model: Yuuki had confronted Mariabell Rosso precisely because she was pursuing total domination through economics and influence networks.

If Gorou had managed to establish real peace in the Dragon Ball universe, without falling into the trap of tyranny or excessively disturbing the peoples' daily lives... then, yes, he probably could have completed his model in one go.

"Hmm~ s..stay"

As he observes his model's progress bar while frowning, Gorou's wife suddenly clings to his arm like a koala on a branch.

The cute act triggered a positive reaction translated by a hug.

Yet, Gorou's eyes were filled with various complex feelings as he looked at his wife's belly.

"It took me 5 years and 2 months and 2 weeks to return with enough power to protect you and myself, but..."

Gorou is afraid.

Not of the DxD universe, but of reality as a whole.

He's strong, yes, but will he be able to protect his loved ones?

He became more aware of his weakness after these little trips to the DBZ universe.

He literally appeared out of nowhere from a native perspective and subjugated an entire population.

An act that Goku Jr will continue in his absence.

Nothing prevents a system user from showing up one day and taking his wife and his homes.

'...strength... it's always the same answer'

He let out a tired sigh, before using his ki sense to search for Issei's ki.

The high schooler never came home.

Miki had already informed him that Issei had become untraceable recently, but Gorou didn't take it seriously.

How many times had the perverted teenager come home late because of his slave work?

Especially since he sometimes spent the night in Kuoh Academy's old building, so Gorou wasn't too worried.

He even suggested waiting for his potential return with Miki, but he didn't come back even past midnight.

In the end, he went to bed with his wife without a shadow of his son in the house.

"Strange... I perfectly remember Issei's magical signature and thanks to [Great Sage], I should be able to locate him easily on Earth's surface, but..."

No trace of Issei Hyoudou is visible on Earth.

There could only be two explanations for this situation.

First: Issei Hyoudou is deceased.

A possible situation, since Gorou's existence has brought tremendous butterfly effects to the DxD universe.

Is it serious? Yes.

Gorou has had disagreements with Issei, but he has within him the emotions of the former Gorou Hyoudou.

He doesn't want to see the perverted high schooler die.

As for the second option:

Issei Hyoudou is not on Earth, but in another dimension.

Several dimensions exist in the DxD universe.

Some are prisons, while others are places where races fleeing human proliferation reside and, of course, there's the deities' dwelling place.

To know for sure, Gorou extended his Ki detection into the pocket dimensions linked to the main dimension where Earth is located.

It didn't take long for Gorou to detect Issei in the underworld.

"Hmm... he's in his masters' manor, tsk." After clicking his tongue in disgust, Gorou decided to ignore the teenager under house arrest.

He could have discovered Issei's true situation through simple contact via teleportation or telepathy, but Gorou thought his son was just spending "normal" time in the Gremory clan.

That's why he didn't use the telepathy magic that the wizard Babidi used on Earth to communicate with all its inhabitants, nor used Goku's iconic teleportation.

A small error in judgment, which extended Issei's stay in the Gremory residence.

'I should rather talk to Rei or Alpha... those brats must still be panicking because of my disappearance.'

Using the same method he used to locate Issei,

Gorou quickly frowned, before the magical energy and ki within him became slightly chaotic.

If not for [Great Sage], then Miko could have really been hurt because of this error by Gorou.

"R..Rei is dead"

This is the only logical explanation he concluded.

Why did Gorou think the scarlet devil is dead and not that he went to another reality via the dimensional portal?

Rei is a simple and somewhat rigid man.

He would never have left the laboratory to try his hand at the multiverse without Gorou's explicit order himself.

The logical conclusion to the absence of his presence in this universe is simply death.

Gorou didn't hesitate another minute.

Even though his heart aches, he decided to prepare to leave his pregnant wife once again.

'24 hours hadn't even passed, but I have to leave again... shit.'

He brushed aside this feeling of reluctance, before contacting the most honest person under him in this reality.

[Can you hear me? Asia... it's me...]

[sniff R..Rei... are you calling me from heaven?]

A dry voice, clearly broken from crying, greeted Gorou after his telepathic transmission.

He had no idea what Asia's current appearance was, but one thing was certain at that moment:

The former nun is crying and Rei was indeed killed by someone.

"Damn..." After cursing, Gorou immediately teleported to Asia Argento's location.

"Y.. you... s.. SIR!!"

'Wait a minute... she recognized me at a glance?'

A feat that Miki couldn't accomplish, he had changed so much.

Thus, Gorou left his pregnant wife to welcome a former teenage nun into his arms...
