Chapter 148 - 148: Rosebell Entertainment

---

The fragrance of orchid-infused perfume lingered faintly in the air of GlowVine Cosmetics' top-floor executive suite.

A gentle breeze from the ceiling vent fluttered the delicate lace curtains as Mo Yuwei sat perched on the edge of her sleek white desk, one long leg elegantly crossed over the other.

Her posture was relaxed yet regal, exuding a natural dominance that made the office feel more like a throne room.

Her fingers lightly tapped on the crystal glass desk, her expression unreadable as she stared at the two people standing across from her—a middle-aged man and a young woman, both clearly nervous.

Standing beside them was her assistant, Li Hao, holding a tablet.

He glanced once more at the two guests before turning to his boss. "CEO Mo, these are the voice actors. Their vocal profiles match the samples you sent us almost perfectly."

Mo Yuwei nodded slightly but said nothing.

Li Hao hesitated for a second, brows slightly furrowing. "May I ask, what exactly are these for?"

Mo Yuwei leaned back slightly in her chair, the leather creaking beneath her. Her gaze flicked to him lazily. "Don't worry. You'll see soon enough."

Li Hao knew better than to question her further.

His CEO was famously unpredictable, brilliant, and occasionally terrifying.

"Understood, ma'am," he said quickly before backing away and slipping out the door, closing it gently behind him.

The room fell silent again, save for the soft ticking of the clock on the wall.

The man and the girl exchanged a quick glance, their shoulders stiff.

The man cleared his throat awkwardly. The young woman gripped the hem of her blouse nervously, sneaking peeks at Mo Yuwei's expression.

The rumors were true—this woman wasn't just intimidating; she was a force of nature.

Mo Yuwei was infamous in elite circles— she was the woman who climbed to the top without apologies.

Known for being temperamental, brutally honest, and often terrifyingly sharp-tongued, she was the kind of boss people admired but feared.

Her lineage alone was enough to shake people—heiress of the Mo family, CEO of GlowVine Cosmetics, and wife to the one of the most powerful man in the country, Chen Group's CEO.

That combination made her untouchable. Unstoppable.

A triple threat. She wasn't just rich—she was dangerous. Unforgiving. Ruthlessly intelligent.

And beautiful in a way that made people hesitate to look at her directly.

They had been summoned without any explanation. And when a queen calls, you answer—whether or not you're prepared.

She finally placed both hands firmly on her desk, the rings on her fingers catching the sunlight.

"Sit."

The two obeyed immediately, nearly stumbling into the seats opposite her.

"I have a job for you," she said smoothly.

The girl nodded quickly. "We'll do it. No matter what."

"Good," Mo Yuwei replied, her voice like velvet hiding steel. "Come to Xingrui Imperial Hotel. Ten o'clock tonight."

They both froze. Ten o'clock? A hotel?

The man was about to ask a question, but he caught the glint in Mo Yuwei's eyes and immediately changed his mind.

"Y-Yes. We'll be there."

"Do you want a driver to pick you up?"

"No! No need! We'll come ourselves," the girl responded quickly.

"Very well." She leaned back in her chair, fingers steepled under her chin. "I'll see you tonight."

They stood up hurriedly, bowed so low their spines might've cracked, and all but ran out of the office.

Once the door closed behind them, silence settled over the room.

Mo Yuwei leaned back slowly, eyes drifting to the sprawling cityscape outside.

Please, Yueyue… I hope your plan works.

At Elva Allure headquarters, in a sunlit conference room lined with glass walls and elegant flower arrangements, the mood was brighter—on the surface, at least.

Su Meilin sat confidently at the head of the long marble table, a soft smile playing on her lips, dressed in an elegant ivory blouse and fitted trousers, and her delicate earrings sparkled like starlight with every nod of her head.

Beside her sat Yiren, her makeup subtly elegant and demeanor composed. Behind them were Yiren's manager and two assistants.

On the other side sat the PR manager, her assistant, Lu Anran, and two middle-aged investors who were examining the sample products on the table.

One of the investors, a man in his fifties with horn-rimmed glasses, held up a serum bottle and turned it in the light.

"It's beautiful," he commented. "Just the design alone will attract customers."

"The packaging speaks luxury," the second investor agreed. "The color palette is refined, and the feel of the bottle—smooth, elegant. People will buy it just to display it on their vanity."

"It's the kind of brand influencers will love," said the third, a woman with striking red lipstick. "Photos will go viral."

"It feels like something you'd see on a runway display... not just in a store."

Su Meilin nodded gracefully. "I'm glad you approve. We've poured our heart and soul into every design. The products are ready—we'll begin distribution this weekend. And while that's happening, we'll begin manufacturing the remaining pieces to complete the full makeup set."

The investors exchanged pleased looks.

"You truly are worthy of being CEO Liang's fiancée," one said with admiration. "Beautiful and capable."

Her cheeks flushed slightly, but she didn't comment.

Instead, she turned to the PR manager. "Keep a close watch on online sentiment after the launch. I want real-time updates."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Lu Anran," Meilin added, her voice gentle but firm, "go down to the production floor and supervise the packaging process. I want everything double-checked."

Lu Anran nodded with a quick, "Understood, President Su."

The meeting adjourned smoothly as chairs pushed back and people began to file out.

Investors left with the PR team, chatting animatedly. Lu Anran and the PR manager left too, walking in another direction.

Su Meilin then turned her gaze to Yiren, her voice softer now.

"Good job," she said.

Yiren blinked, then smiled a little. "Of course."

"That said… I'd like to talk to you about something a bit more personal. Business, but off the record. Are you free?"

Yiren tilted her head slightly, confused. "Business?"

Su Meilin nodded and stood. "You're free, right?"

Yiren hesitated. "Y-Yes. Of course."

Su Meilin led the way toward her office, her heels clicking elegantly across the polished floor.

Yiren followed, flanked by her manager and assistants.

Once they reached the CEO's office, Su Meilin walked around her desk and sat down.

She looked at Yiren meaningfully.

"Could we talk alone?" she asked.

Yiren's manager stiffened. Alone? Why?

Su Meilin gestured toward the woman with a polite yet firm smile. "Just a few minutes."

The manager looked hesitant.

But Su Meilin was Liang Yexuan's fiancée.

Offending her wasn't an option.

She gave Yiren a look, received a small nod in return, and reluctantly stepped out with the assistants.

Once the door closed, silence fell over the office.

Su Meilin's eyes remained on Yiren. Her voice dropped.

"I'll get straight to the point," she said, folding her arms gently. "I want you to join my company."

Yiren's heart stuttered.

Wait… what?

Her brows furrowed. "Company? I don't understand…"

Su Meilin's lips curved slowly. "Rosebell Entertainment."
