Chapter 66 - 174: He came

---

Su Meilin had been standing at the hospital entrance for almost thirty minutes, but she didn't feel tired at all.

Her stilettos pinched her toes, yet she barely noticed—her eyes kept flicking to her watch again and again, her hands clenching nervously at her side.

The receptionist and a few nurses at the desk stole glances at her, sighing quietly to each other.

"Isn't that Miss Su?"

"Mm, our cold and elegant young lady… look at her now."

"She looks desperate. Almost… fragile."

"Love really changes a person, doesn't it?"

For the hospital staff who knew her as the sharp-tongued heiress who rarely spared anyone kindness, this softer side was shocking.

She must really love CEO Liang, they thought.

Finally, the low purr of an engine drew every head toward the driveway.

A luxurious black car rolled to a stop.

Su Meilin's heart skipped a beat, her lips curling upward in joy.

He came… he really came.

Liang Yexuan stepped out.

He wore a fitted charcoal knit sweater paired with black trousers, casual yet impossibly refined.

His tall frame exuded quiet dominance, his jaw sharp as a blade, his aura cold as frost.

That single beauty mark below his lip added a dangerous allure, softening his sharpness just enough to make every woman's heart tremble.

Su Meilin nearly forgot to breathe as she almost drooled.

So fine… too fine. And he's mine.

The nurses at the entrance weren't any better.

A few clutched their chests; others covered their mouths to muffle squeals.

Some trembling as they pointed at him, unable to form words.

One almost dropped a stack of documents.

"My god, it's him!"

"It's CEO Liang! I can't believe he's here—here in person!"

"Pinch me, I'm going to faint!"

Su Meilin's lips curled into a smug smile.

Their reactions only fueled her pride.

Yes, scream, gasp, admire… he belongs to me.

My fiancé. My man. My future husband.

Composing herself, she walked forward with a grace practiced from countless etiquette lessons.

Her voice softened, deliberately sweet, "Yexuan…"

But Liang Yexuan's gaze was colder than ice.

He didn't even pause to appreciate her effort.

His lips moved, his tone low but sharp enough to slice through her fragile joy.

"Where's Uncle Su? And the others?"

His voice was low, detached, as though her existence was nothing more than a nuisance.

Su Meilin's heart lurched.

Heat rushed to her cheeks as curious nurses and passersby glanced between them, watching their interaction.

Why must you embarrass me in public like this…

Her smile stiffened, but she forced it to stay. "Father is inside."

He only nodded, striding past her toward the entrance.

His long legs moved with unhurried elegance, every step radiating strength.

Su Meilin scrambled to catch up, quickly positioning herself at his side.

Together, they indeed painted the picture of a loving couple—even if only one side believed in the illusion.

As they walked, she lowered her voice, adding a tremor of panic. "I don't know what's wrong… Mother suddenly went missing. Who could dare do this? Don't they know our Su family isn't to be provoked?"

Liang Yexuan said nothing.

His silence was absolute, suffocating.

But for the nurses trailing him with wide, star-struck eyes, his mere presence was enough.

"Oh my god… look at those shoulders!"

"His legs are so long—like a model!"

"Those eyes! So sharp yet so cold—I think I just fell in love."

"Don't even get me started on his jawline…"

"And that mole under his lips… ethereal! He doesn't look real!"

"If Miss Su doesn't want him, I'll take him!"

"Shh! He's way out of your league!"

Phones were whipped out.

Photos snapped.

By the time the elevator doors closed, the internet was already buzzing.

Trending Topic: #Madam Su missing! Young Miss Su calls her fiancé CEO Liang for help! The devoted fiancé rushes to her side!

Comments flooded under hastily uploaded photos:

"Omg they look like a power couple. I'm crying, true love exists!"

"CEO Liang actually came in person… Miss Su is so lucky."

"Tall, cold CEO × delicate, beautiful fiancée = match made in heaven!"

"Am I the only one concerned? How does a woman go missing INSIDE a hospital?"

"Suspicious. Feels like an inside job."

"Forget the missing person, let's talk about CEO Liang's side profile… god-tier."

"Miss Su looked at him with so much affection… I feel single again."

"I'm shipping them so hard. Please let their engagement be broadcasted!"

In the elevator, Su Meilin clung to her fantasy, eyes lingering on Liang Yexuan shamelessly, her gaze burning like a fly buzzing around fresh meat.

Every line of his face, every movement of his hand seemed to draw her deeper.

Her heart beat frantically.

"Yexuan," she whispered, tilting her head coyly, "Grandfather said tomorrow we should try on our engagement outfits. The ceremony is so near, yet we haven't had time to prepare…"

Liang Yexuan stilled. His gaze flickered. "…When is it?"

Her breath caught. He asked! He's interested!

"The fifth day next week," she answered quickly, excitement bubbling in her chest.

He gave a single nod.

By then, everything will be ready. Destruction for destruction. Anyone who dares cross me—family, friend or not—I'll grind them into dust.

The air around him seemed to chill further.

Su Meilin, however, mistook it for thoughtfulness.

Her heart soared.

He cares. He must care.

"Tomorrow… will you be free? Should I—"

"I'll arrange everything," Liang Yexuan interrupted curtly.

Her eyes widened, then sparkled.

He'll arrange it himself? The outfits… the ring?

Ding!

She was about to gush further when the elevator dinged.

The doors slid open.

The VVIP floor was in chaos.

Security guards and bodyguards swarmed the hallway, nurses and doctors rushing around, pale and nervous.

The normally serene hallway was now a battlefield of confusion.

At the far end, Su Zhenghao stood like a commander, barking orders. "Search again! Don't miss a single room! She couldn't have just vanished!"

Su Meilin frowned, unease curling in her chest. Is it this serious?

Liang Yexuan strode directly toward him.

The moment Su Zhenghao spotted him, his expression softened.

Relief flashed in his eyes before he forced a smile. "Yexuan, what are you doing here?"

But inside, his chest warmed.

So he does care for my daughter after all.

"What's going on?" Liang Yexuan asked. His calm tone carried the weight of authority, silencing the noise around them.

Su Zhenghao sighed heavily. "Li Yan went to complete the discharge procedures for Father. She was about to enter the elevator when she suddenly disappeared. No one saw her leave the hospital. We've searched for over an hour. Nothing. However, we're certain she hasn't left the premises."

Liang Yexuan's eyes darkened. "CCTV."

Su Zhenghao hesitated, then nodded. He motioned for one of his men. "Take CEO Liang to the security room."

As Liang Yexuan followed the man, Su Meilin stayed behind with her father.

"Father, what's happening? Where's Mother? How could she disappear just like that?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Su Zhenghao snapped, "How would I know?!"

She flinched, then bit her lip.

With a huff, she turned and walked to Room 888.

She pushed open the door and found Old Master Su and Old Master Liang chatting.

"Grandfathers," she called sweetly, her tone dripping with honey.

The two old men chuckled at once.

She walked closer, sitting at their side with practiced grace. "Grandfather, how are you feeling? Why did you want to be discharged so suddenly?"

Old Master Su waved a hand dismissively. "I'm fine. I can't stand the stench of hospitals."

She nodded gently. "As long as you're well, that's what matters."

Old Master Liang cut in, "Has Li Yan been found yet?"

"Not yet," Su Meilin replied, smiling faintly, "but Yexuan is helping."

Both old men exchanged surprised looks. Old Master Liang raised a brow. "That stinky boy came?"

She nodded, cheeks coloring.

"Hoh… seems you two are closer than we thought. Can't wait for the engagement, hm?"

Su Meilin blushed deeper.

If only Yexuan treated me as warmly as my grandfathers believe…

Old Master Su's face clouded. "But where has Li Yan gone this time? Always trouble…"

His fingers tapped against his cane, his thoughts dark.

That brat in jail… I need to act before things spiral out of control. I can't risk it.

"Let's leave it to Yexuan," Su Meilin said softly. "Mother wouldn't disappear without a word. Let's hope it isn't something bad."

But in her heart, she knew her grandfather's disdain for her mother.

Li Yan, from an ordinary family, was never truly accepted.

To him, she contributed nothing to the powerful Su clan.

Su Meilin smoothed her skirt and said, "Let's leave it to Yexuan. Mother wouldn't vanish without a word. Let's hope it isn't… something bad."
