Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Lost Tribe in the Forest

Nulambart and Aggi reached the end of the tunnel, of which previously they could only see a simple light shining to show them the way to the entrance of the Elvareth Tribe.

Just before passing through said light, Aggi looked at Nulambart, smiling slightly, with his eyes vibrating restlessly, fixed on the other's face, as if he feared missing the slightest change.

"Nulambart, I really hope you like my village," Aggi said anxiously as they crossed through the tunnel into the tribe's territory.

Nulambart crossed through the tunnel, and even before seeing any part of the village, the young cultivator felt every pore of his body stir slightly, while his soul rejoiced as he felt the surrounding energy bathe the interior space.

No doubt one of the pillars of soul training, Eternal Ethereal Pillar, was being trained slowly, without even needing for Nulambart to do any kind of meditation or use an external means.

The energy of the environment here is 10 times greater than that of my village. Nulambart couldn't help but rejoice as he felt the changes in his body.

So, after realizing that he was concentrating on the energy in his body, he was able to extend his gaze towards what was in front of him.

Then his eyes opened and his pupils dilated enormously, while his jaw dropped, leaving his mouth open at what he would see next.

Seeing the landscape in front of him, the first thing that caught his attention was an extremely imposing waterfall, with a height of approximately 300 meters, which covered a large part of the village, probably being its natural limit.

In said waterfall, there were stairs hand-carved in stone, which led to an extravagant emerald green palace in the middle of the waterfall, very close to the water passage.

Below the waterfall, Nulambart could glimpse what appeared to be an extremely prosperous village, which spread out in stepped terraces, following the course of the river that fed the waterfall. It was certainly a wonderful sight for Nulambart, since he came from a much humbler village than this great so-called prosperous tribe.

Likewise, in the center of the village the river divided into two channels, forming a circumference of around 200 meters, where there was a plaza that had a red tree that seemed to be a plum tree in the center.

It was undoubtedly a place with a lot of charisma, but something didn't add up for Nulambart.

"Hahaha, look at your face Nulambart, hahaha", looking at the surprised Nulambart, Aggi simply couldn't help but jump, opening his mouth wide to laugh very loudly at Nulambart, who still couldn't close his mouth.

Wait, wait, wait, wait a second. Nulambart couldn't believe what he was seeing before his eyes.

"You really told me you were from a tribe right?"

"Do you think this city looks more like a tribe or a village?" Nulambart asked with his eyes open to Aggi, who couldn't stop laughing.

Sure enough, Nulambart could not believe that the civilization he was seeing was actually a tribe.

"According to the books left by my ancestors, we are a tribe my friend and well... It's not like we know the outside world too much... Well... We don't know it at all," Aggi responded, putting his hands on his chin as he thought clearly about his answer.

"Aggi, your village is really incredible, I have no words to describe it, it is simply fantastic," Nulambart couldn't help but say, looking at the very well-organized houses of the tribe.

Then it crossed his mind to ask about something that had intrigued him since he crossed the tunnel, the energy that was in this space.

"Aggi, do you know what's going on with…?" Nulambart tried to ask, however, looking towards the village, something interrupted him.

Then he could see how 30 soldiers suddenly came towards him from a building that seemed to be military on the outskirts of the village. These soldiers were dressed in green armor, and just through their helmets you could see the faces with the dark complexion that characterized the members of this tribe.

These soldiers marched towards them at a steady pace with spears in their hands, so Nulambart decided to ask the daughter of the tribe's own leader.

"Aggi, what is happening with them?" asked Nulambart, who turned to look at Aggi, trying to find an answer to this abrupt deployment of soldiers.

However, he could not hear Aggi's response, since she was on the ground near him, with her face calm and her eyes closed, but exhausted beyond measure. No doubt the continuous battles and desperate escapes had greatly exhausted both of them during the journey to get here.

With the fainted Aggi aside, Nulambart simply tried to see if everything was okay with her before the guards arrived, so he quickly ran to her location and circulated his energy through the veins in the girl's wrist, only to make sure that she had simply fainted from extreme exhaustion, but without forgetting that her soul was still damaged.

Noticing this, Nulambart let out a sigh of relief knowing that there would be no urgent problems with Aggi, only to turn around the next moment and see the 30 guards blocking his escape route to the village, each of them looking at him with a questioning face.

"Take your hands off the princess of our tribe immediately unhappy," said a guard, who ordered Nulambart extremely angrily.

Nulambart quickly moved away from Aggi and stood at the side. Only to notice through simple inspection, that these soldiers were probably not martial cultivators, but simply normal people who had fighting skills.

"Now you will put your hands on your head and head towards us, you despicable, extremely suspicious boy," the guard ordered again.

I can't believe there are more people like Aggi... Wait... Don't tell me everyone here is alike. Nulambart couldn't help but think listening to the guard's words.

"Ehhhm. Well... I can't move my arms, I think you can tell that I have a broken arm and in the other I have a broken wrist, so it's really impossible for me to do that."

"But I will gladly go there, don't worry, I'm not dangerous," Nulambart ended up saying, who evidently could not comply with the guard's request.

"Ahh. It's true."

"I have no idea why I didn't see it before," the guard said, putting his hands to his chin, clearly thinking.

Nulambart could do nothing but roll his eyes at such a show this guard was putting on.

"Hmmp... Hmmp. Guards, take the suspect and take him to the tribe's prison," ordered the guard who had been talking to Nulambart all this time.

The next moment a unit of approximately 10 men surrounded Nulambart and tied him with an extremely strong rope around his sore arms, and then took them to the military institution that Nulambart had previously seen.

On the trip to said building, Nulambart realized that from the ropes that the guards were holding him, an aroma was released that relaxed his insides, so his vision began to blur until he fainted.

However, before completely losing consciousness, he could not help but feel more of the air and the calm energy that he had around him, which was nothing comparable to the chaotic and cold forest that this paradise hid inside.

The other guards simply took Aggi away by means of a luxurious chariot with horse-like wild beasts heading towards the emerald green castle located at the giant waterfall.

In the emerald green castle.

On a large throne located in the center of a room in the palace, there was a burly man, with a dark complexion, who had brown hair that already showed some whiter hairs, but who undoubtedly had a solemn aura dressed as a warrior with dark green armor.

If they paid a little attention to his face, which already had some signs of wrinkles, then they could see that his face had some resemblance to Aggi's in parts such as his nose and ears.

This great man was the father of Aggi, the leader of the Elvareth tribe, who currently watched as the doors to the room opened, before seeing the same guard who had found Nulambart earlier.

"Leader Aggro, Princess Aggi has returned home, but she has fainted from exhaustion," the guard said, leaning his body forward in a somewhat exaggerated manner.

The leader looked at him with a brief face, with serious eyes, without anything in his body showing any kind of reaction, and responded:

"It's good to know that she is safe, I will go see her immediately with my wife," replied Aggro who prepared to stand up from his throne.

"Excuse me for a moment, Leader... Ehmm. I have another news to tell you," the guard said before he finished standing.

"Tell me then," Aggro said.

"Also next to her there was an intruder, we saw them when they were leaving the cave of the ancestors," the guard finished by saying.

Hearing this, the leader, keeping his eyes calm, struggled to maintain his composure inside.

I can't believe Aggi did it... Wait... Could it be true? The serene leader on the outside thought inside himself.

Then without waiting too long he ordered Nulambart, who was fast asleep in a cell in the tribe's prison, to be taken to the throne room.

In Nulambart's dreams.

Nulambart was inside what appeared to be some kind of car, he looked at his parents who looked to be easily 10 years younger. His father held him in his arms, while his mother held an Elena who also looked like a girl.

I remember some of this trip, but not much. Thought Nulambart, who was sure that he had made this same trip in the past.

Wait, these are my memories. Nulambart realized that he was dreaming about his family trip, so he moved his mouth to try to speak, but he realized that he couldn't.

Likewise, he was surprised that when he saw his parents' faces in the car, they seemed to be somewhat tired from the trip, covered in sweat on their foreheads. He was also surprised to see outside the chariot that was being carried by wild wolf-like beasts, that it was night.

I had not been able to remember those details. Nulambart couldn't help but think that he had a somewhat strange feeling as he remembered more things.

Then he could hear his parents' conversation, while he and his sister were supposed to be asleep, he with half-closed eyes listening sleepily.

"Thanks to our luck we were able to flee the city," a young Axel began to say tiredly towards Saya.

"We are lucky that our family is together," Saya responded, with tears in her eyes.

Mother, please don't cry. Nulambart only tried to console his mother, but it was simply impossible for him to speak.

"Our parents put the seals on our bodies, so our cultivation will be limited Saya, we won't be able to stay closer to the 3 neighboring cities," Axel suddenly said, his brow furrowed and his hands clenched.

"We will have to go to the alliance village, which is near the coast, there we can live well for a while," Axel continued, looking at Saya, who could only nod through tears.

Nulambart felt like electricity in his body, when he realized that he had forgotten everything that had happened in the carriage boy, being of extreme importance.

No one could blame Nulambart, who, being 3 years old, was simply very likely not to remember.

Feeling this concern from his parents, plus the sensation of electricity running through his body, Nulambart knew that this dream was going to turn into a nightmare, since the ominous sensation was already arising in his back.

"Mother, Father, don't worry... Your son will save you," Nulambart, thinking that he couldn't say a word, was suddenly able to tell his parents what he wanted, however they couldn't respond.

This is because he realized that currently his vision was completely black.

I have my eyes closed. Nulambart thought correctly, and subsequently opened his eyes.

However, he did not see the previous scene with his parents, but rather he saw the ceiling filled with lighting with a system of light spheres, which surrounded a very high emerald green ceiling.

In the Emerald Green Castle.

"Wow, you woke up kid," a voice suddenly sounded in the distance.

That voice allowed Nulambart to realize that he had had a dream about his parents, and that he was already awake.

Nulambart, somewhat sleepy, stood up, so he could see that he was on a stretcher in a lush emerald green room, with fine, but somewhat rustic decorations.

Then looking forward, where the voice that had awakened him came from, he met the inquisitive eyes of Aggro, the leader of the Elvareth Tribe.

With that dark green armor, that complexion similar to Aggi's, and his obvious position on a throne made of trees that seemed to be petrified on the ground, Nulambart understood what this was about the father of her expressive friend Aggi.

Immediately, Nulambart tried to put on the best serious expression he could muster, as well as kneel and prostrate himself before the figure in front of him.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Leader of the Elvareth tribe..., Ummm. Forgive my previous state of sleepiness" Nulambart began to introduce himself, with his entire body extremely tense.

"My name is Nulambart Soulstone, I come from a village on the outskirts of the Elvareth forest, Aggi... Hmmp. Your daughter asked me for help when we met on the outskirts of the forest," Nulambart finished saying a little more nervously.

The king raised an eyebrow slightly, before responding in a serious manner.

"We still have to ask Aggi what happened, boy… But well… For now you will be in custody until my daughter wakes up," Aggro said seriously and solemnly.

However, suddenly, he seemed to forget a very important thing, so he couldn't help but put his hand on her face, before saying with his best serene expression.

"Ohh. Of course, my name is Aggro Elvareth, leader of the tribe that rules the place that you surely saw before... Likewise, I am Aggi's father... Oh, wait, I think I have already mentioned it before," said Aggro, who maintained his solemn composure for most of the time.

I couldn't expect anything less from Aggi's father. Nulambart couldn't help but think that the two of them were similar, although Aggro tried to hide his expressions to a great extent.

"How is Aggi, Mr. Aggro?" she asked for her friend Nulambart.

"She is in an induced sleep for now, since she has suffered some physical injuries and her soul is quite damaged, to the point that I myself do not know how to cure her" Aggro responded with a somewhat dull voice, sounding somewhat sad for his daughter.

Hearing this, Nulambart couldn't help but move his arms slightly, and frowned in a way that clearly showed concern.

This guy didn't lie when he introduced himself before... He really is my daughter's friend. In his heart, seeing the attitude of the boy in front of him, Aggro knew that he was not lying, so he softened his attitude a little.

"Don't worry about it kid, my wife is taking care of her now, she is a cultivator specialized in healing, so she will be able to stabilize Aggi, and she will even be able to heal your injuries in no time," Aggro said towards a Nulambart who now looked a little better.

"And if you really come to help us, I will have her help you with the injuries on your arms… However, as for your soul… I'm afraid she won't be able to take care of that," Aggro Nulambart finished by saying.

Then Nulambart, who still thought of his family and Ana who had their souls sacred, asked what was on his mind.

"Major, do you know about the sacred essence herb? With that herb we could solve Aggi's problem and mine," Nulambart finally asked, although omitting that he also needed it for his parents and Ana in his village.

Aggro upon hearing this question suddenly stood up and thundered, clenching his hands tightly and frowning, then said angrily:

"Brat, how do you know about the existence of that herb?"
