Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Magic of Borrowing

Seeing Harry acting as if no one else was around, the Dursleys felt offended.

What was wrong with Harry today? How dare he ignore them and even disobey Petunia?

Dudley, who loved bullying Harry the most, was the first to approach him, reaching out to shove Harry:

"Cousin, how dare you not listen to Mom? Go make dinner now!"

But just as his sticky hand was about to touch Harry, Harry casually waved his hand, and Dudley was suddenly struck by an invisible force on his chest, sending him tumbling to the ground.

At this sight, the Dursleys fell silent. Even Dudley, who had been pushed down, seemed at a loss. Only Harry remained unperturbed, sipping his juice and even picking up a piece of white bread to dip in sauce.

From Vernon and Petunia's perspective, they couldn't see Harry's subtle movement.

They simply thought Harry had forcefully pushed Dudley, knocking him to the ground. As a result, their expressions twisted with anger.

Vernon, in particular, was so furious that his face contorted. His already plump, fat-covered face became even uglier. He rushed forward, intending to grab Harry by the collar and teach this disrespectful brat a lesson:

"Looks like it's been too long since you've been disciplined, boy!"

Faced with the enraged Vernon, Harry remained unmoved.

The face that had once terrified him now seemed insignificant.

Compared to those bloodthirsty demons, Vernon was downright gentle!

But Harry wouldn't allow Vernon to grab his collar either. He hated being lifted by the collar, it made him feel like an owl caught by a hunter.

So Harry waved his hand again, a faint golden magical circle flickering briefly in his palm.

The furious Vernon was immediately hoisted into the air by an invisible force, swinging back and forth against the ceiling and walls.

The scene was so bizarre that the Dursleys couldn't help but scream.

"Ahhh! What's happening? Put me down now!"

"Dad! Dad!"

Petunia was frantic. Suddenly, she noticed Harry, who was still calmly eating his bread, and realized this must be his doing.

That's right among the four of them, Harry was the only one likely to have magical abilities!

And only he could perform such an unbelievable feat!

Petunia wanted to grab Harry and force him to stop the spell, but she quickly realized that the current Harry was no longer someone she could threaten. She aborted her lunge and instead barked sharply:

"Damn it, you haven't even attended that freak school! How can you use magic?

Put him down! Put Vernon down now!"

Harry raised an eyebrow. Aunt Petunia didn't seem surprised by his power only confused about how he could use it.

Did this world also have magic?

Recalling the magic he awakened upon arriving in New York, Harry instinctively sensed that things weren't so simple.

It seemed his original world also had supernatural powers.

Harry had only wanted to teach Vernon a lesson, not cause any real harm. After all, the Dursleys had raised him for eleven years. So he withdrew his telekinetic force.

Once his feet touched the ground, Vernon felt his stomach churning, as if he were about to vomit.

Trembling, he pointed at Harry, wanting to curse:

"You... you... you little..."

But seeing Harry raise his hand again, Vernon immediately shut his mouth. He just sat heavily on the chair, gasping for breath, and glared fiercely at Harry.

Such a "cute" gaze was hardly a threat to Harry, who had slaughtered hundreds of demons.

With that, the Dursley household fell into silence once again. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia watched Harry eating his bread with complicated expressions.

As for Dudley, who had always loved bullying Harry, he was already scared out of his wits, nearly wetting his pants!

After swallowing the last bite of bread, Harry wiped his mouth with a napkin and turned to Aunt Petunia,

"Alright, my dear aunt, it seems you've been hiding a lot from me. We need to have a proper talk.

About my parents, hm… and this so-called magic you mentioned, or that 'freak school' tell me everything."

Seeing Harry's condescending demeanor, Petunia was extremely displeased:

"You wretched little thing, just like that Lily, always so smug.

Fine, fine, I'll tell you. Your parents weren't ordinary people, they were wizards. And that freak school is called Hogwarts, a place that trains wizards."

"Wizards?" Harry ignored Aunt Petunia's resentment, muttering to himself.

Now he finally understood the source of the magic within him. So his parents were wizards, which meant he was born with magical abilities?

But knowing this only raised more questions: "Then where are my parents now?"

Petunia's expression darkened slightly, but she still spoke sharply:

"Your freak parents were killed by a dark wizard. Damn it, do you have any idea how much risk we took in taking you in?

For the first two or three years, we didn't even dare sleep, afraid that the dark wizard who killed your parents would come for us too! And yet, here you are, using magic against us today!"

Petunia's long neck stiffened, her fists clenched, filled with resentment and anger.

Harry was taken aback. He truly hadn't known about these things, which improved his opinion of Aunt Petunia somewhat.

But his attitude toward Uncle Vernon and cousin Dudley remained unchanged. After all, he knew the Dursleys had only taken him in likely because of Aunt Petunia's insistence.

After a moment of silence, Harry asked curiously:

"My mother was a witch, but as her sister, you aren't one?"

His words seemed to stab straight into Aunt Petunia's heart. Despite her fear of magic, she snapped angrily:

"Your mother was a big freak, and you're a little freak! How could I possibly be a freak like you!"

Seeing Aunt Petunia's reaction, Harry nodded. He had already guessed her thoughts.

Aunt Petunia was probably deeply envious of his mother and had wanted to become a witch herself, but she lacked the talent for magic. That's why she harbored such jealousy toward his mother.

This also explained why Aunt Petunia had treated him so poorly all these years.

Understanding was one thing, but it didn't mean Harry would forgive them.

After all, eleven years of bullying and humiliation weren't something he could easily forget.

Harry tapped his fingers lightly on the table, a mischievous grin forming as he came up with a perfect solution.

"Aunt Petunia, don't be upset. Maybe I can make you a wizard too!" Harry said calmly.

"Who wants to be a wizard? I don't want to, wait, what did you say?" Aunt Petunia's eyes widened as she stared at Harry in disbelief.

Even Uncle Vernon and Dudley, who had been terrified moments ago, reacted the same way.

If they could truly wield mysterious magic, who would refuse? Who could refuse?

Noticing their reactions, Harry grew even more confident in his guess and flashed a sly smile:

"However, gaining magical powers comes at a cost. That's only fair.

But you'll need to sign a contract with me!"
