Chapter 96 - Is it worth it

Ronan Lee rushed to the hospital, his heart breaking at the sight of Hazel Morgan lying on the bed, her eyes filled with tears.

"Hazel..."

Hearing his voice, Hazel looked up and pinched her thigh under the blanket, causing tears to spill down her cheeks.

She didn't say a word, just gazed at Ronan with tearful eyes, as if she had suffered a great injustice.

Ronan couldn't stand seeing her like this. He quickly moved forward and hugged her. "I'm sorry, Hazel. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have listened to those things and ignored you. Please don't be mad."

Nestled in Ronan's embrace, Hazel caught onto something in his words.

Someone had said something to him?

"What did they say?"

Hazel looked up, her eyes full of hurt, "You've been ignoring me because of what someone else said? Do I mean so little to you?"

"Of course not," Ronan hurried to explain. "It's my fault, all my fault. You can blame me, yell at me, whatever you want."
