Auntie was stunned after hearing Otto's words. The atmosphere at home had been quite pleasant lately. Mr. and Mrs. Riley hadn't argued in a long time, and their relationship seemed to be growing closer. Why would Otto think Mrs. Riley was going to leave?
"Otto, what's going on? Who told you that Mrs. Riley was leaving? Was it some gossiping servant?"
Otto quietly wiped his tears and shook his head. His mom had told him those things, but he didn't dare tell Auntie.
"It's nothing, I'm just scared," he said before turning away, his small figure looking both lonely and pitiful.
The more Auntie thought about it, the more something felt off. She quickly went to find Martin Riley.
After hearing her out, Martin frowned deeply. "Leaving?"
He had never thought about making Crystal Foster leave. What was going on?
"I asked Otto, but he didn't say anything. But he seemed really upset. Did something happen? Or is there trouble with Mrs. Riley again?"
