"You... I'm not talking to you anymore," Crystal Foster said, pushing against Martin Riley's chest, but she couldn't budge him. She was both embarrassed and anxious.
Martin chuckled softly, pulling Crystal closer. "Alright, I won't tease you anymore. But tonight, you have to sleep with me. Otto's a boy; he shouldn't cling to you too much."
Crystal shot him a playful glare, understanding his intentions completely, yet she didn't refuse. Deep down, she felt a hint of anticipation.
After dinner, Crystal gave Otto a bath and chatted with him for a while. Martin appeared at Otto's bedroom door, accompanied by the nanny.
The nanny wore a knowing smile, the kind that said, "I understand everything, but I'll pretend I don't."
"Ma'am, let me tell Otto a story tonight. You both must be tired; get some rest."
Crystal's face turned a deep shade of red, with a light pink spreading to her neck. She handed the storybook to the nanny and hurried back to her room.
