Although Crystal Foster hadn't continued her interactions with Hyland Riley, she still kept tabs on him every day. Not only that, but Martin Riley also had people watching Hyland.
So, as soon as Hyland met with a new business partner, Crystal received the news almost immediately.
"He still hasn't given up, dreaming of a comeback. It's pure wishful thinking," Crystal muttered, her eyes flashing with a hint of malice as she looked over the information Martin had sent her.
She was determined not to give Hyland any chance to rise again.
"Crystal, come to my office for a moment," Marvin Mitchell called her in, intending to discuss Hyland's situation, only to find she was already aware.
He sighed inwardly, knowing that Martin's resources were behind the information. A twinge of bitterness crept into his heart.
He understood that Crystal would never be his, but he still wanted to do whatever he could for her.
