Hyland Riley's expression was grim as he glanced at Amanda Carter beside him. Her gaze lingered on Martin Riley, filled with a hint of longing.
He was unwilling, yet helpless.
Amanda was the only partner he could find. Even though he knew she was only settling for him because she couldn't have Martin, he had no choice but to swallow his pride.
"Aren't you Martin Riley's nephew? Aren't you going to say hello?" Amanda asked, her eyes fierce as she looked at Crystal Foster, eager to confront the woman.
Hyland shook his head, his tone tinged with irritation. "Martin and I have never gotten along. You should know that by now."
Amanda's smile vanished instantly. She shook her head at him, her eyes and brows carrying a cold edge.
"Hyland Riley, are you throwing a tantrum at me? Don't forget, I'm the only one who can help you right now. Instead of keeping me happy, you're picking a fight. Do you really think you're some kind of big shot?"
