As Martin Riley came downstairs, Marvin Mitchell was already waiting for him.
"My dad's been nagging for ages. Let's go," Marvin said, raising an eyebrow slightly when he saw Martin. "Crystal and Otto are already there. Dad wants us to bring a bottle of wine back."
Martin frowned. "Your family doesn't even have wine?"
"Nope." Marvin opened the car door and got in. "Dad's health isn't great, and the doctor advised him against drinking."
While they were talking, Marvin suddenly noticed Henry behind Martin, but what caught his attention was the large bouquet of red roses Henry was holding.
"Does your company give roses to male employees now?"
As soon as he said that, Marvin noticed Martin's expression darken. Realizing something, he blurted out, "Those roses aren't for you, are they?"
Martin's face immediately turned grim, and Marvin felt like he had hit the nail on the head.
