Daisy Sanchez never considered herself a normal human being, and she realized this at a very young age.

"Do you remember that stray cat in our old neighborhood? The black and white one that looked like a cow?"

Daisy pulled up a chair and sat in front of Alex Elliott, leisurely reminiscing about the past.

"That cat later died from eating poisoned sausages. Sylvia Byrne cried for days because she used to feed it all the time."

The room was dimly lit, and Alex felt an inexplicable chill.

He looked up at the woman in front of him, who seemed almost deranged. "You poisoned that cat."

His tone was certain.

"Yes." Daisy nodded. "I did it. It was the second week after the kidnapping incident. I noticed Sylvia often went to see that kitten, like she was seeking comfort."
