"If the DNA test results had turn out true on that day, you would have certainly not returned with Broderick and Alaric would have found a means to punish you….Probably use your son as the collateral for your act." Astria was quiet. "I didn't want you to suffer Astria, I wanted you to be happy. Alaric Vernon is brutal man and he would most certainly commit the most heinous vices against you." Nicholas explained.
"How can you care for me, more than I care for myself Nicholas?" Astria asked in amazement.
"I care for you Astria. I didn't want you being in Alaric's bad book. I would rather suffer, than watch you suffer." He made eye contact with her. "Astria, you are still young. You have a handsome son, and a whole life ahead of you, think about it."
