Chapter 63 - Time Never Heals

Astria POV

Ever since I was born, I always thought that life would get easier if I just held myself together and never let the negativity get to me.

But I was wrong.

I came from nothing. No silver spoon or even a family that could open doors. It was just me helping my mum see late into the night.

Every time I put threads together, I looked up at the hung frame of my father and tears dropped down my eyes knowing he will never be here again.

Dad had died from an infection that we could not afford to treat. 

Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, my mom followed a couple of years later at my graduation ceremony.

Every time I wake up, I still remember the words she had spoken before death took her away from me.

"You made me proud." She had said.

All I ever wanted was peace and a small house to stay in. There are nights where I had prayed for a good husband who would hold my hands without being asked.
