Without any unexpected issues, Asia became Rias's familiar.

The Bishop's power supports familiar devils, and it's a perfect match for Asia's healing-type divine artifact. While it seemed rather reckless, Rias didn't hesitate to use her devil piece.

Arthas considered devil reincarnation simple—just use a devil piece—but it's not that straightforward. Different factions and attributes mean things like turning a nun like Asia into a devil are reckless.

But Rias has acted recklessly before; another instance wouldn't faze her.

Or perhaps it was her recklessness that led to Arthas's unique existence, filling Rias with confidence.

Crimson magic enveloped Rias.

"I, Rias Gremory, command you. You, Asia Argento. To become my servant, your soul shall return to this place, and you shall become a devil. You shall become my 'Bishop,' and rejoice in your rebirth!"

For the first time, Arthas observed the entire devil reincarnation process from the sidelines. The piece emitted a crimson light, sinking into Asia's body, before everything calmed down.

After confirming the piece had fully entered Asia's body, Rias stopped channeling her magic.

"Is that it?"

"What do you think? Devil reincarnation is that simple."

Rias said smugly, then stared expectantly at Asia.

"How does it feel? Try using your power. Is anything uncomfortable?"

"Hmm?"

Asia tilted her head, and a soft, pale green light emanated from her palm—her usual sign of using her power.

"Yes, the reincarnation was successful. Congratulations, Asia. You're now a devil."

"Oh… I'm a devil now?"

Asia seemed dazed, looking down at her palm.

"Lord… forgive sinful Asia. But even as a devil, my faith in you will remain unchanged."

Asia clasped her hands in prayer.

But immediately, she cried out in pain. "Aaah! My head hurts."

"Of course, devils praying to God will be hurt."

Rias said nonchalantly.

"Waaah, that's right. As a devil, I can't face God anymore."

Asia looked conflicted, with a pitiful expression.

"Do you regret it?"

Rias asked Asia.

Asia shook her head gently.

"No, I'm grateful to Rias-nee for taking me in, even though I'm from the enemy faction."

Asia said gratefully.

"Don't misunderstand. I took you in because of Arthas."

But as Asia thanked her, Rias said coldly.

The girl proudly tossed her red hair, turning to leave the room.

"Don't forget, you're a nun, and I'm a devil. We were enemies from the start. Arthas told me about you, but I advised against contacting you to avoid trouble."

"But now, your divine artifact is quite good, and you qualify to be my familiar. Work hard; I'm a harsh master."

"Yes! I will do my best!"

Asia replied energetically.

Arthas shook his head, amused. Rias's flyer army would have another member. Asia would be surprised to learn that a devil's job is distributing flyers.

Asia's transfer was smoother than Arthas's. Her documents were complete; it was a simple formality.

The Occult Research Club held a small celebration for the new member. Asia wondered why Arthas wasn't there but was easily placated by Rias.

Arthas couldn't attend because he was busy with the student council.

While it might seem rude, Asia's slow reactions and simple mind made it easy to deceive her, so there was no immediate worry about Arthas's dual identity being exposed.

But… how long could it last?

In the evening, after school, Asia finally saw Arthas. After recounting her new life, she waved goodbye and went to distribute flyers.

She didn't seem to mind that a devil's job was distributing flyers; perhaps it was a relief for her.

Not long ago, Asia had worried about whether devils did evil things.

Asia was staying at Rias's house; leaving her with Souna risked exposure.

Arthas suddenly slowed his pace. The pedestrians and noise around him gradually disappeared, the surroundings becoming eerily quiet.

This was familiar to Arthas; it was similar to when the boy was killed by the fallen angel—like stepping into another world.

"A barrier?"

Before him were countless black feathers floating in the air. Arthas gently caught one.

A fallen angel with pure black wings had silently descended.

"Interesting. No surprise at this sight. As expected of someone possessing a divine artifact."

The fallen angel observed Arthas, curious.

"No, you're not human anymore… whose familiar are you?"

The female fallen angel frowned, hesitant.

"Whatever… your existence is too dangerous. Just faint from shock."

The female fallen angel seemed to make a decision. A sharp light spear appeared in her hand, pointed at Arthas.

"Sorry… blame the divine artifact within you!"

With that, the light spear struck mercilessly.
