"So, what did that alarm just now mean? Can you tell me?"

Damon said leisurely, following Rupert in the Ministry elevator to the eighth-floor Ministry lobby.

"It's a red alert, meaning there's a risk of a major incident. It usually involves Death Eaters—these guys don't usually show their true colors, but when they cause trouble, it's a major event."  Rupert understood Damon's thinking somewhat. "If you want to graduate early, this should be a good opportunity, provided you can truly make a significant contribution."

"How can I find out what happened?"

"It's difficult, but also simple." Rupert smiled, picked up the phone, called Amelia, and handed it to Damon. "Minister Burns must know. Why don't you just ask her?"

This was also a test.

He wanted to see if this person with connections was as powerful as he imagined.

After all, Auror missions were confidential, and leaking them to outsiders would result in a Wizengamot hearing.

"Rupert, what's up?"

"It's me, Minister Amelia."

"Damon? Why are you calling me, and on an internal line?"

"Can I participate in the Red Alert just now?"

"Of course not. Come to my office right now, it's on the second floor below ground."

Rupert immediately asked after the call ended,

 "What's up?"

 "Rejected."

Damon hung up and headed for the elevator.

"Looks like there's nothing we can do. Let's just be partners for three years and see what happens."

Rupert consoled Damon, but he watched him quickly walk to the elevator and land a moment later.

"Downstairs... Didn't we just come up? Is he going to protest directly to the Minister? Are newbies so brave these days?"

Rupert smacked his lips and prepared to clock out. Newbies are so headstrong because they have the strength to be so. He, a weakling, shouldn't worry about such things.

Damon reappeared on the second floor below ground.

He quickly walked to the office at the back and knocked gently on the door.

"Come in,"

Amelia's voice echoed through the room, a unique sense of authority.

Damon walked in, leaving Amelia alone in the office.

"Come to think of it, this is my first time in your office."

He surveyed the space—it wasn't piled high with documents or endless equipment, but rather surprisingly simple.

The walls were adorned with dark gray magical wallpaper, with a few ancient magical paintings hanging in the corners. The desk in the center of the room was minimalist, with several thick magic books neatly arranged on the surface. Amelia sat in a dark chair, her hands hunched over the desk, looking up at him.

"The Ministry's internal telephones are also monitored. Next time, remember not to talk about things you shouldn't."

 "So you agree?"

"Since I've made an exception and allowed you to join Auror training, I won't give up halfway." Amelia glanced at him. "Letting you sit there for three years is a waste of your time, and the lives of others."

She wasn't that conservative to abandon such a powerful striker and let him lie dormant at the Ministry for three years, doing some unhelpful training.

The reason why Moody didn't know how to adapt was, firstly, that there was something wrong with his brain, and secondly, he didn't have a clear understanding of Damon's strength. Even Amelia didn't think she had fully understood Damon's strength.

After all, this young man had only been exposed to magic for a little over a year, and his understanding of magic was rapidly growing. If we continued to view him with outdated notions, we would surely fall behind.

"The mission location is Black Crane Castle, a semi-abandoned Death Eater stronghold. Since two Aurors have already caught up with them, the Death Eaters will surely want to eliminate them there. These guys are known for their lawlessness, and escape isn't usually their first option."

Amelia proactively revealed the mission information, quietly inserting opportunities for instruction. "This will be a bit troublesome for you, however, as you've never been to Black Crane Castle and can't Apparate there directly—not only that, you've also never been to many of the Auror's temporary bases and branches. I think this may be more important to you than all the training."

After all, Apparition couldn't reach places the caster couldn't imagine.

"There's nothing I can do. Moody's keeping a close eye on us. You must have a plan, right?"

Amelia sighed. "What can I do? I'll take you there myself."

She stood up and offered Damon her hand. "Hold on to me. You've probably

used Apparition before, haven't you? Will it be a problem?"

"No, you've already mastered the most difficult Apparitions. With your spell skills, you just need to adjust according to your feelings."

Clasp their hands together, and Amelia's voice rang out again:

 "Ready, 321!"

With the sound of firecrackers, the two vanished in an instant.

On the magical border of Britain, at Black Crane Castle. The situation wasn't looking good. Nine Aurors had surrounded the three Death Eaters in an abandoned building, gradually closing their space. However

the problem was the two remaining Muggle hostages.

They were using the Muggles as human shields, hindering the Aurors' ability to execute their moves.

Combined with the trio's familiarity with the terrain, they knew there were already wounded Aurors. One had been struck by Cruciatus and was now frowning, while another had lost an arm to Fiendfyre's force.   Moody, looking at the three outlaws hiding in the shadows, taking only hostages to fish, was shaking with rage.

Even more troubling, he felt something was off about the Death Eaters' mentality—they seemed completely unconcerned about being caught, simply moving methodically underground.

Why was that? Was there some hidden trick?

If it was a Portkey or a magical bomb...damn it, either would be incredibly difficult.

 "What should we do, Moody?"

  "Damn it!"

he spat, looking at the two terrified Muggles, listening to the sinister Death Eater laughter in his ears. Anger made him decide to take a risk!

"I'll go out and draw their fire later. Don't worry about me. Just rescue those two Muggles first. Everything will be easier from then on!"

 Snap.

At that moment, a sudden explosion erupted from the building beside them, and Amelia and Damon appeared. They were on full alert the moment they landed, only relaxing after taking in the situation.

"Then I'll go back and await your good news."

 "You won't stay?"

"The Ministry still needs me. Besides, professional matters should be handled by professionals. And with you here, I don't have to worry about anything."

A second explosion echoed, and Amelia vanished.

 "Mortos! Damn it!"

Moody hadn't expected Minister Burns to make such an exception for this man. It was ridiculous!

How could he allow a newcomer to join such a battlefield? What was Burns thinking?

Not to mention whether this newcomer could be effective on the battlefield; if he caused any harm to Muggles during his mission, it would be a lifelong shadow for the young man.

 "Mortos, stand still! Watch!"

Moody roared at the newly emerged Damon.

Then, he stepped out of cover, exposing himself directly to the tree Death Eaters' firing range.
