Chapter 2 - “The harsh reality”- Chapter Two

Then…

Reality hit her like cold water on her skin.

The warmth of his arms—gone.

The soft castle light—gone.

The fairytale silence—replaced by the dull hum of her ceiling fan.

She opened her eyes.

White walls.

Grey bedsheet.

Her tiny apartment in California.

She wasn't a princess.

She was Anna—just Anna.

A 20-year-old girl, thousands of miles from home,

living alone in a foreign land,

struggling to hold herself together in the quiet hours of the night.

And this wasn't the first time.

For the past few nights… he kept coming.

Not just as a man.

But as the man—

The one who knew her soul like a song,

who whispered like the stars had taught him her name,

who held her like she was the missing part of his story.

Every night, she fell into his arms.

And every morning, she woke up… emptier than before.

Was she cursed to dream of a love that didn't exist?

Or was he real—just lost somewhere in this wide, cruel world?

she sat up, touched her lips—still warm from the dream.

And she whispered to the morning light,

"Come back to me. Whoever you are… wherever you are."
