Nico and Kyan skidded to a stop.
They were surrounded.
Luciano guards came in from every direction, weapons drawn—faces cold and serious. Their suits were neat, black, intimidating. These weren't just bodyguards… they were trained wolves.
"Surrender, my king," one of them said, stepping forward slowly.
Kyan's eyes widened. He instinctively moved closer to Nico.
The guard cocked his gun, tone still respectful but sharp. "Or we'll shoot your limbs. That's the Don's order."
Nico stood tall, shielding Kyan with his body like a human wall. His jaw tightened.
"You wouldn't dare," he growled, but even he knew—if it came down to it, they would.
Another guard raised his weapon slightly. "You know we don't want to hurt you, sir… but we will if you resist."
Kyan whispered, panicking, "Nico…"
"Don't move," Nico murmured back, low and protective. "I've got you."
But even Kyan could tell…
