Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 "Ashes of Betrayal"

When Grayson's scalpel cut open the chest of the seventh hybrid corpse, Alyssa smelled a familiar smell of rust - exactly the same smell as Kane's blood.

"Look here." The tweezers picked up a piece of metal covered with pus and blood, and Grayson's lenses reflected the cold light. "Micro tracker, sutured directly on the heart valve." He dipped the metal piece into the potion, and Victor's family emblem and the number VII appeared on the surface.

As the elevator plummeted into the ground, Alyssa's blue blood glowed in the darkness.

Lucas kicked over the operating table: "We are being watched like animals?!" He smashed his fist against the wall, and dark red mucus oozed out of the cracks. Alyssa's fingertips ignited in flames, but the mucus expanded into a ball when it touched the blue flame, and a three-dimensional map of the mine emerged inside - the location of each hybrid was flashing red.

Kane lit a torch, and hundreds of freezing chambers suddenly appeared on the rock wall, with a girl who looked like Alyssa floating in each chamber. The chamber No. VI suddenly exploded, and a semi-mechanized monster crawled out of the rancid liquid.

"This is not surveillance," Sylvia scanned the mucus with her mechanical eyes, "This is captivity." She suddenly stabbed her nails into her lower abdomen and pulled out a micro transmitter, "Automatically sending vital signs data every seventy-two hours, including..." She glanced at Alyssa, "The frequency of the fluctuations of the eclipse force."

"The mother...return..." The monster's vocal cords vibrated with Victor's tone. When Alyssa's flames pierced its head, green acid blood splashed onto Kane's mechanical spine, causing the metal parts to begin to multiply.

(Sylvia's wound did not bleed)

"Get out!" Kane pushed Alyssa away and blocked the entrance with his body. As the acid and blood corroded his back, Alyssa saw that under the rolled skin and flesh, the mechanical spine was producing a magnetic attraction reaction with the dagger fragment in her hand.

When Kane stepped into the morgue, he was holding the head of the Silver Wolf Scout in his hand.

"A gift for meeting you." He threw the head onto the dissection table, and the eyeballs suddenly started to move - it was a camera disguised as biological tissue. Just as Alyssa's flames were about to devour it, Kane grabbed her wrist and said, "Leave the body intact so that we can send it back to Victor as a gift."

The elevator suddenly rose rapidly, and Sylvia's face appeared on the monitor screen: "Sorry, the mother body must be isolated." Her mechanical eyes flashed with Victor's unique purple light.

When his thumb rubbed the mark of No. VII on her wrist, Lucas rushed over with a roar. Kane swung his fist without looking back, and the boy smashed the glass cabinet, and the pocket watch of Alyssa's biological mother rolled out from the fragments - the hands were spinning in the opposite direction.

"Time is running out." Kane kicked the pocket watch away, revealing a secret compartment under the floor. Inside were three syringes filled with blue blood, with the label reading: "Gene Stabilizer Type VII." Alyssa's dagger pressed against his Adam's apple: "You knew I would mutate."

"I know more than you think." He held the blade and slashed it across his collarbone, revealing a mechanical spine beneath the skin. "Like this one—grown from your bone marrow stem cells."

(The number of the mechanical spine is the same as that of Alisa's mark)

The mine alarm went off at midnight.

The six mixed-race girls suddenly went crazy. They tore open their companions' throats and drew a seven-pointed star array on the wall with their blood. Just as Alyssa's flame was about to purify the array, Sylvia stopped her: "This is a distress signal - they have a self-destruct program in their bodies!"

When Lucas cut down the last madman, the girl's eyeball suddenly popped out and exploded into a surveillance drone in the air. Victor's laughter came from the wreckage: "Is the game fun, No. VII?" The holographic projection showed a three-dimensional model of the mine, and the position of each hybrid was marked with a countdown.

Alyssa crushed the projector, but found a microcapsule in the debris - inside it was a clone the size of an embryo, with the No. VII brand on its chest glowing blue. Grayson picked up the embryo with tweezers: "They use your genes to mass-produce weapons."

The mine suddenly shook, and Sylvia's mechanical eyes emitted a red light: "Life reaction detected 300 meters underground - it's another test subject!"

(The vibration frequency is synchronized with Alyssa's heartbeat)
