Caleb was taken aback for a moment, somewhat confused as he asked, "What?"
The blue light in Yuna's eyes slowly faded, returning to normal as she shook her head and said, "That's all I can see."
Caleb: "…"
'Gotham's Riddler called.' He quipped inwardly.
But he still had to ask, "What star? The Wish Maker, Jirachi?"
Yuna shook her head and said, "I don't know, but if you change your mind, you can return to the Infinite World and contact me within three days. After three days, I will enter that Instance."
After saying this, her figure gradually faded and disappeared from the world.
Caleb: "…"
He recalled everything he had experienced since entering the Infinite World, but nothing seemed to correspond to stars. He felt that the other party was using those remarks to attract him, hoping he would join her team out of curiosity.
After thinking for a while without any clarity, he simply put it aside, selected 'Complete Quest', and directly left the Werewolf Instance.
The familiar settlement interface appeared:
[Instance "Werewolf" is being settled…]
[Main Quest settlement in progress…]
[Werewolf faction wins, base points +200!]
[Game evaluation: Impostor +100 points, Bomb +100 points! Rating: S!]
[Congratulations to Player Caleb Chase for obtaining a total of 400 points!]
…
The moment Caleb returned to the Infinite World, he teleported back home...
He took a moment to check the friends panel. Both Terrence and Hatsumi's avatars were grayed out. It seemed neither of them had returned from their Instances yet.
"I'm back!" Caleb released Mimikyu from its Poké Ball onto the sofa.
Having spent three days in the Instance without bathing, he planned to go to his room first to get clean clothes and freshen up. But after he got his clothes and reached the bathroom door, the room remained completely silent.
The expected welcome party did not appear.
Caleb stopped walking, turned around, and searched the kitchen and side bedroom; but not only were Lucario and Dragonite nowhere to be found, even Gardevoir was missing.
He looked at Mimikyu, who was sitting on the sofa drinking juice, and asked, "Are they not here?"
Mimikyu, who was lazily leaning against a soft pillow, shook its head.
"Alright." Caleb thought they might have gone to the Pokémon Paradise to sunbathe, so he decided not to worry about it for now and went to take a shower first.
But before he could finish washing his hair, a series of roaring sounds came from outside.
Dragonite and Hydreigon rushed in, competing to be the first. Caleb only felt a gust of wind, and immediately afterward, two large figures appeared in front of him.
Dragonite and Hydreigon nudged and pushed against him, their warm bodies pressing close, very much like two golden retrievers who hadn'tseen their owner in a long time.
Caleb used his soapy hands to push the two large dragons away. After quickly rinsing his head, he said, "You guys wait for me outside!"
"Wuu!"
Dragonite obediently left.
Hydreigon, however, didn't move. It couldn't wait to show its dad the new move it had learned.
"Roar!" Hydreigon called out.
Caleb looked up, confused.
Then he saw massive meteors, formed from pure Dragon-type energy, materialize out of thin air above the bathroom he had spent a fortune building.
Caleb: "?!"
*Boom!*
Violent explosions rang out all around.
The Draco Meteor crashed into the hot spring, instantly sending towering waves splashing everywhere.
Amid the explosions, Hydreigon tilted its three heads, its eyes filled with pure excitement, as if asking, "Pretty cool, right?"
Caleb: "…"
Finally, the Draco Meteor's duration ended...
Caleb turned to look at the ruins around him. Fortunately, the space was stable enough that the damage didn't affect the living room outside.
But having heard the commotion, the other Pokémon in the living room rushed over one after another, lining up and staring wide-eyed at the scene.
Hydreigon looked back, somewhat puzzled. If it were human, it would likely be scratching its head in confusion right now.
Caleb: "…"
He sighed helplessly and said, "You did great."
Hydreigon immediately showed an excited expression, its eyes gleaming with eagerness as if it wanted to do it again.
Caleb quickly stopped it, pointing at the hot spring and saying, "The hot spring over there was destroyed by you. We won't be able to take baths there anymore."
Hydreigon looked back and finally realized what it had done. The main head wore a guilty expression, lowering its head and not daring to look at Caleb.
'Oh no, I had messed up! Dad isn't going to like me anymore.' Hydreigon thought sadly.
Caleb didn't notice Hydreigon's thoughts at the moment. He was deep in thought.
Before being captured by humans, Pokémon lived freely in the wild. It was completely normal for them to use Hyper Beam to break a tree or shatter a large rock when they were upset, especially for large and naturally fierce Pokémon like Hydreigon.
Human houses were indeed a bit too small for them. Moreover, being accustomed to freedom, they often didn't pay much attention to their surroundings while living indoors. A slight carelessness could lead to breaking things around them.
Dragonite, Mimikyu, and Lucario were relatively gentle in this regard, so Caleb had forgotten to mention this point until now.
However, he could tell that Hydreigon hadn't done it on purpose, so he didn't plan to blame the large dragon who was so eager to show off.
Compared to the destruction of the bathroom, he was more curious about how Hydreigon had suddenly learned the move Draco Meteor.
'Could it be Dragonite?' Caleb turned to look at Dragonite, who had become a spectator.
Seeing this, Hydreigon felt even worse: 'Sure enough, Dad doesn't like me anymore! I'm was going to be kicked out of the house, just like in those human TV shows...'
Its mind conjured an image of itself with a small bundle hanging from its neck, being driven out of the house by that pesky Dragonite.
Caleb hadn't activated his Viridian Power, so he didn't know what Hydreigon was thinking.
Still, he comforted the big guy, "Don't worry, it's okay. I know you didn't mean to, but you can't do this again in the future, understand?"
'Your dad is rich. You can break whatever you want, as long as you don't hurt yourself or others.' Caleb thought to himself.
But he couldn't say that out loud. Instilling proper values in Pokémon was still very important. Otherwise, if he visited someone else's house in the future and Hydreigon decided to use Dragon Rage on a doll or TV it didn't like, things could get ugly.
Hearing this, Hydreigon lifted its head with hope and nodded obediently.
Caleb asked, "How did you learn this move?"
Having just made a mistake, Hydreigon was now exceptionally well-behaved. It replied: >..That bad Dragonite taught me..<
"And how did that bad Dragonite teach you?"
>..He called me up into the sky and used this move to smash me relentlessly. Then I got angry, and somehow I just used it..<
"Oh." Caleb roughly understood.
He remembered that the Pokémon Paradise had a recording function and planned to ask Gardevoir for a copy later. But for now, he felt it was more important to rinse off the soap suds on his body.
Fortunately, Hydreigon's earlier Draco Meteor hadn't been insane enough to attack him as well, so the area where Caleb was standing remained largely unaffected...
