Chapter 2 - My Sect is ancient just look at the ruins

A pale-faced young woman was quietly leaning against the head of the bed looking like a pale corpse

"This is too cliché..." Xiù Feng muttered looking at the woman

A beautiful fairy suddenly showing up hurt and injured on your doorstep was something right out of a web novel

Chances are that she is probably some bigshot who got ambushed by a terrifying enemy or some princess who is fleeing from a tyrant who wants to capture her to be his wife

Either way it was about time that the plot started but

"What the heck am I supposed to do with a cute fairy... can't they bring me an handsome prince or male god " Xiù Feng lamented. She kept watching the pale girl on the bed. This was just her luck. Still, the woman was breathing, just barely. Xiù Feng figured she couldn't just leave her to die.

Right as she was debating the level of dangers involved, the fairy stirred. A faint little movement, a soft sound as her eyes blinked open slowly.

"Oh, you're awake," Xiù Feng said. She reached into her inventory, she grabbed a healing pill

"Here," Xiù Feng said, helping the woman sit up a bit and holding out the pill. It was small, yellow pill but hummed with potent energy. "Take this. It'll fix you right up."

She looked at the pill warily for a second but accepted it

The moment it touched her palm, the paleness in her face seemed to lessen slightly and when she swallowed it , a strong, warm feeling surged from within Mei Ling'er. The visible signs of her injuries faded rapidly, color returned to her cheeks, and her breathing deepened and stabilized. The aura of weakness around her vanished, replaced by a faint, vibrant energy.

She realised surprise that it was a rare high level healing pill! It looked like she had overthought things because this kind of precious pill, which could heal and restore even severe internal injury in a person's body, was rare even in the Azure Sky Sect. And yet this girl had given it to her to heal his injuries without a second thought! This girl was simply too kind-hearted.

"Th-Thank you for saving my life. I Mei Ling'er swear by the heavens to repay this kindness" Mei Ling'er, thanked "May I know my benefactor's name?"

"Xiu Feng."

"I thank you once again miss Feng"

Xiù Feng waited for a moment, then tilted her head slightly.

"So," she asked. "Who are you, anyway? And how'd you end up half-dead in my home?"

Mei Ling'er seemed to brace herself, her expression becoming somber .

"My name is Mei Ling'er," she said. "I am....No, I was a Saintess of the Azure Sky Sect ."

Mei Ling'er explained her story .She as the saintess of the Azure Sky Sect was to marry the Holy son of the sect in order to mutually improve their cultivation as dao partners and to produce a successor with the combined advantages of their bloodlines however after the marriage the scumbag revealed his true nature he intended to use her as a cultivation cauldron to further his own cultivation realising that Mei Ling'er injured him and escaped But he had more influence or power within the sect then her and the backing of several Elder factions loyal to him.

He twisted the story to frame her as the one supposedly turned viciously on her husband a betrayal of the highest order in the eyes of the sect

They sent several disciples to chase and capture her after a brutal fight one of those groups she ended in this island to recover

'I knew it ! I was right!' Xiù Feng looked at the mountain of problems

A runaway Saintess ,an hostile sect and an evil arrogant young master Holy son normally

'Well, this sucks', Xiù Feng thought. Hiding someone like this wouldn't be easy. On one hand the Azure Sky Sect's goons showed up on her little island... things would get very bad, very fast. On the other hand, just kicking the girl out would be equal to giving her a death sentence but in the third foot...

"Ahem Now that I remember you said something about repaying my generosity right"

" benefactor Feng I will definitely repay my debt , otherwise it would go against my Dao values. Please tell me your biddings"

"Well then..." Xiù Feng smiled

A vow sworn by the heavens wasn't just for show in this world. It was a a binding oath once broken it can negatively affect the one who broke it giving rise to mental demons or karmaic debt.

"Fellow Daoist Mei as you swore a vow to repay my kindness. My request is this: I wish for your aid to revive my sect here in these ruins, Leverage your experience to help this sect rise from the ground up."

"Sect ?"

"Haaa yes the Invincible Iron mountain Sect was once an ancient sect with a long history and deep foundation!" Xiù Feng dramatically sighed

"Ancient Sect?" Mie Ling'er blinked

"There was once a magic stone on the top of this mountain which was thirty−six feet five inches high and Twenty−four feet round. It was thirty−six feet five inches high to correspond with the 365 degrees of the Heavens, and twenty−four feet round to match the twenty−four divisions of the solar calendar. On top of it were nine apertures and eight holes, for the Nine Palaces and the Eight Trigrams. There were no trees around it to give shade, but magic fungus and orchids clung to its sides.

Ever since Creation began it had been receiving the truth of Heaven, the beauty of Earth, the essence of the Sun and the splendour of the Moon; and as it had been influenced by them for so long it had miraculous powers. It developed a magic womb, which burst open one day to produce a stone egg about the size of a ball.

When the wind blew on this egg it turned into a stone monkey, complete with the five senses and four limbs.

When the stone monkey had learned to crawl and walk, he bowed to each of the four quarters....." Xiù Feng started

For the next two hours she told her the story of the Monkey King

"Thus The Great Sage, Heaven's Equal was vanquished by Buddha but the Jade Emperor was still uneasy if a single monkey can cause so much trouble could it not being possible that another Monkey King may arise in that very mountain ? So he sent a few immortal warriors to keep an eye on the monkeys there."

"Eventually, humans arrived on the island – perhaps wayfarers, traders, and sailors blown off course. Some of the talented ones caught the eyes of the immortal warriors and were taken on as disciples. These first disciples, inheriting the mandate to guard against potential chaos from the mountain, founded the Invincible Iron Mountain Sect."

"The… The Great Sage… and the Jade Emperor…" Mei Ling'er murmured, trying to reconcile the epic narrative with the girl who had just finished telling it.

"Alas the previous sect masters clearly forgot the true legacy, letting it fall into ruin." Xiù Feng dramatically sighed "Honestly I left to cultivate for a few hundred years and those incompetent brats ruined my sect"

But… build a sect?" Mei Ling'er hesitated, looking around the dilapidated room, then back at the youthful girl before her. She sensed power, but the claim of reviving an ancient sect, combined with her childlike appearance, felt… difficult to believe.

"Benefactor Feng… forgive my lack of understanding," Mei Ling'er said carefully. "But I find it difficult to believe you are truly a member, or seeking to revive, an ancient sect? And you appear… very young for such claims."

"Very well. Here, let me show you the proof of my claims" Xiù Feng said flatly as she released her power.

An overwhelming spiritual pressure unfolded into the room. Mei Ling'er gasped, breath stolen as the pressure hit her like a physical blow. Her knees buckled instantly, hitting the stone floor. She couldn't move, locked rigid under the immense aura leaving her helpless

The pressure remained for a tense few seconds. Mei Ling'er could only stare at the floor, before it retracted. Mei Ling'er crumpled to the floor, gasping, trembling.

Mei Ling'er pushed herself back onto her knees, then shakily sat back on her heels. Her doubt vaporized, replaced by a profound awe and terror.

"Benefactor Feng's… depth… is truly unfathomable. This Mei Ling'er understands now." She lifted her head slightly, meeting Xiù Feng's gaze, her eyes wide but resolute. Her vow felt less like an obligation now and more like an unbelievable opportunity.

"Very well then welcome to my sect Elder Mei " Xiù Feng grinned
