Blazar shrugged, trying to appear casual despite the way Vesper's intense stare made her stomach flutter nervously. "Kaelric."
Vesper's head tilted slowly, one crimson eyebrow arching in a way that made her pulse quicken. "The same Kaelric I know?"
She nodded, her fingers unconsciously fidgeting with the hem of her shirt. "Yeah, the same Kaelric."
"What's your relationship with Kaelric?" His voice dropped to that low, dangerous tone that always made her knees feel weak. But this time, there was something else underneath - something sharp and probing that made her want to step back.
Blazar swallowed hard, her throat suddenly dry. "Can't tell."
His lips curved into a smile that didn't reach his eyes - the kind of expression that reminded her exactly who she was dealing with. "Is he your boyfriend?"
