Aria was walking out of her war and strategy class when her assistant came rushing toward her like she was being chased by demons.
Laura's face was pale, her eyes wide with panic. She looked like someone who'd just watched their carefully laid plans crumble to dust.
"What is it, Laura?" Aria asked, her voice sharp with irritation.
Laura took a deep breath in, then out, her hands shaking. "Vesper and Orion have gone official. It's announced by Orion himself. The video is trending."
For just a second, Aria's beautiful mask slipped. Her perfect composure cracked like porcelain hitting stone. Then she pulled it back together and started walking like a woman possessed, her heels clicking against the marble floor with deadly precision.
She didn't stop until she reached the princess's private room. The moment the door closed behind them, she exploded.
