The steam from the jacuzzi curled around them like ghostly fingers, the rose petals floating on the surface creating an almost ethereal scene. Blazar's pulse hammered against her throat as Ryuzaki's hands held her shoulders, his grip firm but not painful.
"Ryuzaki, let go of me," she said, her voice cracking with desperation. The words came out sharper than she intended, but panic was clawing at her chest.
Blazar twisted in his grip, her muscles coiling as she tried to break free. The marble floor beneath her bare feet was slick with condensation, treacherous and unforgiving. She could feel his warmth radiating through his skin, too close, too intimate.
"I said let go!" She wrenched sideways, putting all her strength into the movement.
But physics had other plans.
Her foot slipped on the wet marble, her body pitching forward. Instinct took over and she grabbed for the nearest solid thing—Ryuzaki's hand. His eyes widened in surprise as her weight pulled him off balance.
