Chapter 115 - The Throne Beneath

The air hung thick with magic.

Aria stood at the edge of the ancient cavern, her eyes fixed on the obsidian altar pulsing in the distance. The ceiling above stretched into darkness, illuminated only by glowing runes etched into the stone. Each symbol shimmered with pale blue light, whispering old secrets in tongues long forgotten.

Caleb's fingers brushed hers. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

She turned to him, gaze steady. "We've come too far to stop now. If this is where the truth lies... I have to face it."

Behind them, Elena and Rowan watched in silence. Even Elena, now free of Mara's corruption, looked unsettled. The markings on the walls were familiar to her—fragments of the Witch Queen's sigils.

As they walked deeper into the cavern, their steps echoed. Each one felt heavier than the last.
