Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Layup, Standard Two-plus-One

"Damn it, Lin Feng, what are you laughing at? Is it funny? Do you know that it is because of you that we are forced into this desperate situation and have to fight this decisive battle?"

Randson pointed at Lin Feng and shouted.

"Fuck you! You are such a lousy player, you shouldn't be here."

Randson was not satisfied with his scolding, so he raised his hand and pointed at Lin Feng.

None of the other bench players stood up for Lin Feng. Now everyone on the team was furious when they saw Lin Feng.

"Damn it! Lin Feng, you can get out of Los Angeles after this season. A player like you still wants to enter the NBA? It's a joke. You don't even deserve to be in the NBDL!"

As soon as Randson finished scolding, another teammate, De Bruyne, also angrily scolded Lin Feng.

Coach Ryan saw it from the side but did not stop it.

He knew very well that Lin Feng had now incurred public anger, and stopping him would not only be ineffective but would also make people hate him even more.

Ryan was quite caring towards Lin Feng in the early days, even though Lin Feng's performance in the gym was mediocre in the NCAA in Southern California.

However, Ryan appreciated his interpersonal skills, so Ryan tried every means to persuade the young man and brought him into the NBDL for training in order to realize his basketball dream.

As a result, there was no way to fix the problem. Lin Feng's unsatisfactory performance in the last game made Ryan quite annoyed.

"Coach Ryan, I want to play!"

At this moment, Lin Feng ignored his teammates who were scolding him and asked to play on the court.

Ryan was stunned and stared at Lin Feng with narrowed sapphire eyes.

Still want to play?

This was a decisive battle where blood would flow. If Lin Feng messed it up again, not only would the players be unhappy, but the fans in the stadium would be even more unhappy.

He had a cold face and said nothing.

Lin Feng did not give up the opportunity to play and sincerely requested: "Coach Ryan, please give me one last chance. If I still fail at the critical moment, I will withdraw from the NBDL and never step onto the basketball court again!"

"Rubbish! Lin Feng, you rotten, second-rate player, don't even think about causing trouble for us anymore. Coach Ryan won't allow you to continue playing."

"God damn it, get the hell out of here, there's nothing for you to do here, just wait to sit on the bench forever!"

"Oh my God... Lin Feng, this loser, still wants to play. What is he thinking? Is he trying to kill our entire team?"

"Hurry up and get this yellow monkey out of here. He is here just to make people laugh. We can't let him appear on stage again."

"…"

"Shut up, everyone!"

Ryan glared at Randson and De Bruyne, who were cursing.

Then, he held up three fingers to Lin Feng, "Lin Feng, I will only give you three minutes to perform in today's game."

"Thank you, Coach Ryan. I will not let you down this time."

Lin Feng was eager to try, feeling the powerful explosive force in his body.

As well as the super jumping and running speed from his legs, agile positioning, and flying rebounds.

He firmly believes that his performance tonight will surprise all those who look down on Chinese players.

Lin Feng replaced his teammate Matt Carlo, who was the main point guard, and Lin Feng had always been his substitute.

Matt Carlo didn't give Lin Feng a good look when he left the court.

Lin Feng deeply realized that whether he could become famous, even enter the finals and win the NBDL championship in the 2005-2006 season, all depended on this crucial battle!

In addition, entering the NBA and becoming one of the best players in NBA history is also his lifelong dream!

"Damn it, what the hell is Ryan doing? Why let that yellow guy play again?"

When the fans in the stadium saw Lin Feng coming onto the court, they all started cursing.

Lin Feng's fatal mistake in the last game was still lingering in their minds.

If we lose the NBDL championship this year, who will take the blame?

"Ryan, what the hell are you doing? Why are you letting that guy play? His skills are terrible!"

"Yeah, Ryan, are you trying to kill the team?"

"Fuck! Ryan, you will regret your stupid behavior tonight! He is not a trustworthy player!"

"…"

After the players scolded him, Lin Feng was under great psychological pressure.

Fortunately, after playing the role of Sakuragi Hanamichi, he was able to quickly adjust his mentality.

Because among the prototype characters in the comics, Sakuragi Hanamichi is a person who likes to use practical actions to fight back against those who question him.

Sakuragi Hanamichi was born into a single-parent family. He had a big heart since he was a child. When he was in junior high school, he often fought with others and was regarded as a bad boy.

His personality is similar to Allen Iverson's: rebellious and unruly.

To gain his approval, both friends and opponents must possess extraordinary abilities.

Lin Feng looked down at the fans in the audience who were yelling at him and raised an international hand gesture to them.

"Shit... this damn yellow monkey, how dare he give me the middle finger? After the game, I'm going to destroy him!"

An old black man was so angry that he wanted to explode on the spot. He held a beer bottle in his hand and wanted to smash it on Lin Feng's head.

"In this game tonight, I have to grab thirty rebounds. If I don't have thirty rebounds, I lose!"

Lin Feng shouted loudly to the audience.

"Hahaha! Is he crazy? Thirty rebounds? Does he think he is the rebounding champion Rodman?"

"Oh! My God, this guy must be crazy! Ryan shouldn't give him another chance, he will kill the Los Angeles D-Fenders!"

...

The game officially started. Since Lin Feng replaced the main point guard Matt Carlo, the position he filled was still the number one position.

This is slightly in conflict with the character he played, Sakuragi Hanamichi.

Sakuragi Hanamichi plays the power forward (PF) position.

However, Lin Feng is prepared to play both the No. 1 and No. 4 positions at the same time, and he wants to bully the No. 4 position of the Fort Worth Flyers.

The current score is 8:6, with the Fort Worth Flyers leading by two points.

Lin Feng dribbled the ball across half court and organized a new round of attack.

He broke through but had no space or opportunity to shoot. Devin Brown, the main center of the Fort Worth Flyers, immediately came to block the route to the penalty area and prevented Lin Feng from breaking through and making a layup.

"Damn it, Lin Feng, pass the ball quickly, I'm open!"

The three-point shooter lurking in the bottom corner roared at Lin Feng and shouted to pass the ball.

In fact, he was in an open position. Lin Feng saw it and was about to pass the ball to him, but his attitude was extremely bad.

This made Lin Feng frown, and he immediately changed his thinking, turning the pass into a strong attack!

Facing the blockade of Devin Brown, with his height of 216 cm and weight of about 90 kg, he jumped up quickly to create space for shooting.

"Useless! Lin Feng, you useless person, why don't you pass the ball? What are you thinking? Damn it!"

The three-point shooter in the corner cursed. Now the entire Los Angeles D-Fenders team was unhappy with Lin Feng.

I gave you a chance to play, but you still didn't pass the ball?

Attacking against defensive stalwart Devin Brown?

Why don't you just die?

Ryan sat on the sidelines, frowning, and was very dissatisfied with Lin Feng's performance.

At the same time, Lin Feng's jumping ability is amazing. Despite the pressure of Devin Brown's huge height, he managed to surpass him by half a head, creating a narrow space for shooting.

When Devin Brown saw this, he thought, "How the hell can this be tolerated?"

I'm a first-team defensive player in the NBDL, and I can still let a small guard like you make an easy layup?

"Come down!"

Devin Brown roared, and with a pair of big black hands, he rushed towards Lin Feng to block the shot.

However--

He underestimated Lin Feng. It could be said that he would never have expected that a Chinese player could actually perform a mid-air move?

Devin Brown clearly saw that when he landed, Lin Feng's figure still remained in the air, and the ball went in after the whistle blew—a standard two-plus-one for a hand foul!

In an instant, the entire stadium was silent!

Everyone, all eyes, held their breath and stared at the Chinese player with black hair and yellow skin!
