Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Clash of Predators

Blazing Hell trembled under the suffocating haze of Magellan's poison.

But deeper still—in Level Six: Infinite Hell—something far more dangerous was stirring.

The heavy door creaked open.

Shiryu of the Rain stepped into the light, sword in hand, smile thin and cold.

Domino staggered back, the weight of what she had just unleashed sinking into her bones.

But Shiryu paid her no mind.

He reached for his blade—Thunderstorm, its black edge glinting like death itself.

"You'll regret this," Domino whispered.

Shiryu didn't answer.

He was already moving.

Shun Kaien appeared in the blood-stained corridors, his eyes scanning the battlefield with the cold detachment of a soldier.

Shun flexed his limbs as the raw taijutsu strength flooded back into his body.

Puppets wouldn't work here.

He needed precision.Speed.Brute violence.

Only Might Guy's template would give him the tools to face Shiryu.

And there he was.

The man stepped from the haze of the upper floor, his gaze empty, but his blade... hungry.

They locked eyes.

Nothing was said.

No theatrics.

No threats.

Shiryu moved first, cutting the distance with terrifying speed.

Shun reacted instantly.Gate of View—Open.System Notification: Stamina drain increased.Remaining Tokens: 5.

Their clash was a whisper.

Shiryu's blade carved through the air, a gleaming arc that hummed with lethal intent.

Shun's sidestep was precise—too close.

The edge of Thunderstorm grazed his sleeve, slicing the fabric cleanly as the blade carved a trench into the stone floor behind him.

Shun's heartbeat remained steady.

Even at full Might Guy synchronization, Shiryu's sword still held the advantage in raw lethality.

This wasn't a fight he could win through exchange.

He pivoted, his body blurring into a flurry of fists.

Morning Peacock.

No shouts.No names.Just pure execution.

His fists ignited the air itself, the friction birthing a storm of flame and force.

Shiryu blocked, but the sheer volume overwhelmed his defenses.

Boom.Boom.Boom.

The strikes drove him back—three, four steps—not ten.

Shiryu's uniform was singed, his face dirtied with soot.

But his expression didn't waver.

If anything... he smiled.

"You're fast," Shiryu said calmly.

"And you're adapting," Shun replied flatly.

Neither underestimated the other now.

From the darkness of nearby cells, other prisoners stirred.

Eyes gleamed.

Vasco Shot, eyes glazed with drunken malice, watched silently.

Catarina Devon chuckled darkly from the shadows, whispering to herself.

Shun noted them, but did not divert his focus.

They weren't threats—yet.

Shiryu tilted his blade.

"Let's finish this, boy."

Shun nodded.

He wouldn't play games.

He would aim to kill.

System Notification:Gate of Pain—Available.Stamina burn rate will triple.Proceed?

Shun's lips tightened.

He would time it perfectly.

One chance.One strike.Nothing wasted.

The predators circled each other.

And the clash of killers resumed.
