Meanwhile in Twilight, mostly with people without Abilities, they find it as their hiding place, they develop mechanics that can fight those with Abilities if the time ever arises.

Main Characters (Founders of The Quillbound, eventually from Arc two, they get more members):

NB: () signifies their identity in the stories

Leo Samuel (Hatzia Apoty/Sir Failure):

A 24-year-old programmer drawn into The Story as an Ascender. Once a passionate writer, his debut book briefly gained popularity before flopping, leaving him emotionally scarred. Unable to cope with failure, he abandoned writing and pursued programming, only to struggle academically and graduate with a third-class degree. Now trapped in a mundane life, he sees The Story as his last chance to redeem himself and prove his worth as a writer.

Age: 24

Appearance: Black/White hair (Black hair for Arc One), 6"0, not ripped but well built and Brown eyes.

Elizabeth Fox (Diana Fox):

A 24-year-old senior intern at the same company where Leo worked, now also a participant in The Story. Outwardly intelligent, kind, and charismatic, Elizabeth appears to be a perfect professional. However, she harbors a dark secret—she is the anonymous author of a novel so disturbingly violent and explicit that it was banned worldwide. Authorities sought to arrest the writer, but because her identity was never uncovered, she remained free.

Now in The Story, where rules are rewritten and morality is fluid, she finally feels alive. No longer bound by the constraints of the real world, she embraces her true self—a person who finds pleasure in chaos, murder, and control. However, she doesn't reveal her nature outright. Instead, she plays the long game, gaining Leo's trust while subtly manipulating events from the shadows. As the mysteries of The Story unravel, Leo will come to realize that his closest ally may be the greatest danger of all.

Age: 24

Appearance: Blonde curly hair, golden eyes and a curvy body, 5'9

Michael Richmond (Richard):

A man shrouded in mystery, Michael Richmond carries an air of intrigue wherever he goes. His past is unknown, his origins unclear but something about him feels oddly familiar to Leo, as if they've crossed paths before.

Despite the enigma surrounding him, Michael is a jolly and charismatic presence, effortlessly blending humor with sharp intellect. Beneath his easygoing nature lies a mind sharper than most, making him the undisputed smartest member of the group. He observes everything, picking up on details others overlook, yet he rarely reveals more than he chooses to.

Whether he is truly an ally or playing a deeper game remains uncertain. But one thing is clear, Michael Richmond is never just a bystander in The Story.

Zee (Heppie Leo):

An Ascender with an unknown past, Zee is one of the most experienced writers in The Story. She carries herself with an effortless confidence, her playful and cheerful nature making her seem carefree. But beneath her lighthearted exterior lies a sharp mind. She understands the true nature of The Story better than most, and while she enjoys the thrill of writing within it, she's not one to be underestimated.

In Arc One, she plays an active role in guiding other Ascenders, offering cryptic advice and pushing him to see beyond the surface. Whether she's a true ally or simply entertaining herself by watching the game unfold remains to be seen.

Age: 22

Ivy Rose (Leila):

A quiet strength lies within Ivy Rose. She is reserved, strong, and fearless—but not in the loud, commanding way of a leader. Instead, her strength is subtle, found in her unwavering kindness and willingness to stand up for others, even at her own expense.

Unlike many other Ascenders, she never truly considered herself a writer. She only attempted to write once, but after failing, she gave up and pursued a career in dance instead. Yet, deep inside, the sting of that failure remains, a small part of her wondering if she should have tried harder.

Her greatest weakness is her heart. Too kind, too naive, too much of a people pleaser, she often finds herself caught in the middle of others' ambitions, manipulated without realizing it. This makes her particularly vulnerable in The Story, where deception is the norm.

She sees the good in people—even when they don't deserve it.

Age: 20

Lynn(Diaval):

Lynn's background remains a mystery in Arc One, with few clues to her past. She's a reserved and introspective character, often keeping her thoughts and emotions to herself. Despite her lack of experience as a writer, she possesses a natural talent for storytelling, her words carry an emotional weight that resonates with others.

While not overly intellectual, Lynn is incredibly perceptive, able to read situations and people with an almost uncanny accuracy. She's not the type to throw herself into self-sacrifice, preferring to remain cautious, but her loyalty and kindness shine through when she feels safe. She's not easily fooled, knowing how to navigate through tough situations, often finding a way to slip through the cracks and avoid trouble when necessary.

She is also a smooth talker and can easily make negotiations.

Age: 20

Appearance: Brown hair, long and straight. Average height, caramel skin
