Enel faced Chiyu and, in an instant, unleashed his Devil Fruit power.
"One million volts—Discharge!"
Although this is Enel's most basic technique—his standard opener—the terrifying might of the attack still left everyone utterly stunned.
In the original story he needed only a single strike to one‑shot more than twenty elite Shandian warriors.
The Rumble‑Rumble Fruit, hailed as one of the strongest Logia powers and often called invincible, hardly deserves to be doubted.
Bzz‑zz‑zz—
In a split second the rampaging current became a searing white flash, like a fanged beast roaring as it shot toward Chiyu!
The lightning could even travel along the cloud‑sea, turning it into a wide‑area assault.
Rear Admiral Hina and Nami both blanched.
Chiyu also knew that if he dodged, everyone behind him would be badly hurt.
So—
With a cold snort he suddenly thrust out his arm.
Armament Haki…
Coat!
His Armament Haki was not as polished as his Observation Haki, but so long as it coated his body, he could strike the tangible form of any Logia user!
In the very next moment—
BOOOM—
Wild white lightning slammed into Chiyu's arm, now jet‑black with Haki.
The scene looked terrifying, yet the million‑volt thunder failed to harm Chiyu in the slightest.
Instead, the electric light simply shattered on contact.
For the first time Enel's expression changed.
"Hmm?!"
"That power is…"
Skypiea's power system differs from the Blue Sea's; they do not speak of the "three colors of Haki," and Observation Haki is called "Mantra." Even so—
Enel knew about Armament Haki, albeit under a different name.
He himself, however, had never trained it.
"I remember—on Skypiea it's called the 'Black Light,' strong enough to seize even my elemental body…"
"But this is the first time I've actually seen it…"
"Hmph—seems I really did underestimate you, outsider!"
To all the people of Skypiea it looked like a miracle: Chiyu's Haki‑coated fist crushed lightning itself!
Even Hina, Nami, and the Marines were dumbstruck.
Chiyu also understood that, at his present level, Enel was indeed a fearsome foe—overall probably stronger than he was.
There was no need to deny it.
Unlike Crocodile—once a powerhouse but now, after a great downfall, unable to use Haki at all—Enel still possessed an overwhelming presence and an ambition to dominate the world.
He lacked Armament and Conqueror's Haki, but his Observation Haki was top‑tier.
Paired with the "invincible" Rumble‑Rumble Fruit, he counted among the most terrifying fighters anywhere, even in the Blue Sea.
Yet—
Chiyu felt no fear.
Because—
No matter how imposing Enel's stats looked on paper, he was still beaten by a Luffy who had not even unlocked Gear Second or Gear Third. That already revealed the ceiling of Enel's real combat ability.
Yes, rubber naturally insulates against lightning, but that only stops the current; in every other way Enel vastly out‑classed Luffy:
Logia intangibility left Luffy almost no way to land a hit.
Supreme Observation Haki let Enel foresee every move.
Island‑level lightning strikes could devastate everything.
Even if the electricity failed, Enel could generate extreme heat or slicing currents—plenty of ways to win.
And even so, he still lost.
In short—
His raw stats and his in‑battle performance were worlds apart.
As the two resumed their fierce clash—
One of Enel's priests suddenly appeared.
"My lord, the Shandians are attacking your throne! After detecting your return to Skypiea, they've changed course and are marching here in force—"
Enel, unconcerned, dug at his ear.
"Shandians?"
"Those muddy peasants?"
"Handle them yourselves."
Enel commanded four High Priests, each with unique abilities—every one of them rivaled the former "god" Gan Fall.
Gan Fall's heart stirred.
The native Skypieans and the Shandians had warred for centuries—but now Enel, who had seized the entire sky island, stood as the common enemy.
Ironically, his tyranny had halted their feud and united them.
Gan Fall sighed.
The Shandians still resisted, but most Skypieans had already submitted; even many of his former subordinates had knelt to Enel.
In resolve, the natives lagged behind the Shandians.
Just then the Shandian army accelerated with jet dials, closing rapidly.
At their head stood Wyper, descendant of the legendary warrior Kalgara—"the Battle Demon."
Beside him were Kamakiri, Braham, Genbo, Laki and other formidable fighters.
Shouldering a bazooka, Wyper roared at Enel:
"Enel! You stole our land and our homes!"
"Today you'll pay the price!"
Enel waved him off. "You again?"
"You're like a stubborn piece of crap…"
"Unfortunately, you're not worthy to fight me."
"High Priests—these pests are yours."
"As God commands!"
In an instant the four Priests charged, troops in tow, toward the Shandians.
At that moment—
Gan Fall could no longer hold back.
"People of Skypiea!"
"We fought the Shandians for centuries, yet now, facing this terrifying foe, the Shandians still fight on! Shall we really let ourselves be trampled?!"
"You once hated them and fought bravely—but now they stand before us, battling an even greater enemy! Will we simply watch?!"
"No—"
"This time, I will fight beside the Shandians!"
"Together we stand against Enel!"
With a roar Gan Fall charged the Priests.
The Skypieans exchanged looks; seeing the aged and wounded Gan Fall risking his life—and even their old Shandian enemies doing the same—they too could no longer stay back. They rushed to battle.
Rear Admiral Hina shouted: "We may be ten thousand meters in the sky, but this is still part of the world!"
"As Marines, it is our duty to uphold justice and protect civilians!"
"All hands—prepare to fight!"
"Yes, ma'am!"
The elite Marines aboard the Uchiha warship roared and readied themselves.
Enel watched, still sneering lazily.
"Shandians, Skypieans, foreigners from the Blue Sea…"
"You all plan to unite against me?"
"Pity—this battle's outcome was decided long ago."
"A god fears no challenge."
At this moment all of Skypiea had become a blood‑soaked battlefield.
Led by Wyper, Gan Fall, and Rear Admiral Hina, Shandians, Skypieans, and Marines launched a final assault on Enel and his divine army.
Meanwhile, Chiyu and Enel faced off at a distance.
They both knew none of the other fights would sway the true outcome.
Only their duel mattered.
Picking at his ear, Enel eyed Chiyu with interest:
"Outsider, you know my power. Why do you still dare challenge a god?"
Chiyu answered calmly: "I've met many who called themselves gods…"
"In the end, they all called me god."
Enel blinked, then burst into manic laughter.
"Bwah‑hahaha! Never thought the Blue Sea had someone even more arrogant than me!"
"Interesting. In that case, let me show you…"
"The power of a real god!"
"Twenty million volts—"
"Discharge!"
Enel threw his body back, one forefinger to the sky, one to the earth, and stretched them apart—unleashing a crackling torrent of 20 million volts, even ripping the air itself!
Then—
BOOOOM—
A thunderstorm twenty times fiercer than before blasted toward Chiyu!
It struck in an instant; even Chiyu had no time to react.
KRA‑BOOM!!!
His body was engulfed in lightning, exploding in a blinding flash!
Enel sneered. "All that boasting—and this is all you've got?"
Yet in the next heartbeat—
The charred figure dissolved into white smoke.
"Eh?!"
"What—"
From the smoke Chiyu's real form appeared behind Enel—two famed black blades, Yubashiri and Kashu, wreathed in Armament Haki, slashing down!
Cold sweat burst from Enel for the first time.
His peerless Observation Haki warned him just in time; he turned to lightning and barely escaped, but not before Chiyu's Haki‑edge carved two huge wounds across his back!
Enel, shocked and furious: "Lowly mortal—you dare make a god bleed?!"
Chiyu said evenly, "Shows you're just a mortal yourself."
Enel exploded in rage, pushing the "invincible" Rumble‑Rumble Fruit to its peak:
"Ultimate—two hundred million volts!"
"Discharge!!!"
But Chiyu was already confident. Their earlier exchange had revealed a crucial secret:
Even the strongest Observation Haki of the One Piece world could not foresee abilities from the Naruto world.
Moments ago he had baited Enel with a Shadow Clone, and Enel's Mantra noticed nothing.
A faint smile curled on Chiyu's lips.
"The victor is decided."
