Chiyu had never cared about becoming Pirate King.
But now, with the path ahead of him wide open, he couldn't ignore the final destination—the last island, Laugh Tale. He had to see for himself what ultimate secret the world was hiding there.
Getting there wouldn't be simple. The voyage alone was dangerous enough, but the island's location was one of the world's most tightly kept secrets. The only way to reach it was to collect all four Road Poneglyphs. Each stone held coordinates to a single location. Combine all four, and you'd find Laugh Tale. Miss even one, and you'd wander forever.
Chiyu was already halfway there.
There were four red Road Poneglyphs in total. One had been hidden in the forests of Zou—now gifted to him by Nekomamushi and Inuarashi. Another had been in Wano all along, falling naturally into his hands after he claimed the country.
Deciphering them was no problem. The world thought the Kozuki clan's ability to read Poneglyphs had died with Kozuki Oden, since he'd never passed it on to his daughters. But Chiyu knew the truth—Oden's father, Kozuki Sukiyaki, was still alive, and he could read them just as well.
With Sukiyaki's help, Chiyu had already locked down two coordinates.
The other two stones were harder. One was in the hands of another Emperor—Big Mom, Charlotte Linlin. The last was rumored to belong to someone called the "Hinokizu," whose true identity was still a mystery. Some said Red-Haired Shanks had it. Others whispered it might be Blackbeard.
Chiyu decided to go for the one he could confirm—Big Mom's.
Charlotte Linlin was a glutton, greedy and domineering, and prone to losing herself in violent fits. But her strength was among the greatest in the world. Her territory, Totto Land, was a thriving empire of dozens of islands, bound together by her massive family. Her crew's unity—built around her many children—was something Kaido could never match.
In the months since Wano's liberation, the country had stabilized completely. Its economy was booming, and Chiyu's forces had exploded in strength. Between the Undying Legion, defected Marines, loyal civilians, and the combined might of Wano, Zou, and other allies, he commanded over 80,000 fighters—each one drilled into a hardened warrior under the brutal training of Black Arm Zephyr.
Everything was ready. Chiyu didn't hesitate. He declared war.
Big Mom wasn't surprised. She had been expecting this and immediately ordered her forces to assemble for a decisive battle in her waters.
In the war council of the Sweet Commanders, Katakuri—her most trusted son—spoke up first.
"Mom, Chiyu's at the peak of his power. Even the Navy avoids crossing him. If we rush into a fight, it could end badly."
Oven shot him a glare. "What, losing your nerve? Kaido's defeat just proves he wasn't the 'strongest creature' after all."
Katakuri's voice hardened. "Don't underestimate Kaido… or Chiyu."
Cracker smirked from his seat. "Then let me test him. With my biscuit soldiers, I'm an army by myself."
Smoothie, the only female Commander, crossed her arms. "Cracker, Katakuri's right—going at Chiyu alone is suicide."
Big Mom finally spoke, her voice rumbling between bites of cake.
"I know Kaido's strength. If Chiyu killed him, he's dangerous. But if he comes here, he dies. This is our territory."
Katakuri pressed, "Mom, Kaido was killed in his territory—Onigashima."
"That's because Kaido was an idiot!" Big Mom barked. "He had the numbers but chose to duel Chiyu one-on-one. When he lost, his whole crew collapsed."
Katakuri grudgingly agreed. "True… but Chiyu's power has grown since then. Word is he commands over 80,000 troops."
Big Mom waved it away. "I don't care if it's 80,000 or 800,000—they step into Totto Land, they die. Unless you've got a better idea?"
Katakuri suggested calling in every allied crew, marriage tie, and underworld contact they had—including the Vinsmokes. But when he mentioned the Giants, Big Mom's expression turned icy.
"The Giants? Those traitors?!" she roared.
Katakuri didn't need the reminder—the Giants were her greatest wound. Born among them but hated by them, she had dreamed of forcing them to join her utopia by turning all races into giants through Caesar's experiments. Chiyu had killed Caesar, ending that dream.
Katakuri knew her so-called utopia was a lie. Her subjects weren't equal—they were slaves, forced to pay with their lifespans. To him, Big Mom was nothing more than a giant child ruling a family with no father figure, leaving her children warped—some reckless, some cruel, some hopelessly immature.
Still, he agreed to make the calls. "I'll rally everyone—crews, allies, the underworld."
She waved him off. "Do it."
The declaration of war between two Emperors sent shockwaves around the world. Unlike Chiyu's surprise attack on Wano, this would be a public, open clash. Big Mom's crew had time to prepare, and the underworld elite poured into Totto Land—figures like The Concealer Giberson, God of Fortune Du Feld, Big News Morgans, and Queen of the Pleasure District Stussy. Some came to help; most came with their own agendas.
Meanwhile, Chiyu's fleet plowed through the seas toward Totto Land.
Gone were the days of a scrappy little crew. Now he commanded over a dozen heavily armed, custom warships—each one a weapon in its own right—carrying 50,000 elite soldiers. Beside him stood Zephyr, Boa Hancock, Trafalgar Law, Franky, and Wano's most formidable retainers: Ashura Doji, Kawamatsu, Denjiro, Nekomamushi, and Inuarashi. Each could rival, or surpass, Big Mom's Sweet Commanders.
Zephyr's voice boomed over the roar of the sea. "We're in Totto Land waters! Stay sharp! Expect traps!"
As if on cue, the ocean erupted. From all sides, living pirate ships surged forward—Big Mom's Homies, each infused with a soul and crewed by Cracker's nearly indestructible biscuit soldiers. Bullets, cannon shells, and arrows poured down like rain—but the soldiers' defenses held firm.
Chiyu's mouth curved into a knowing smile. He had prepared for this. At his signal, Franky's ships unleashed their hidden weapons—high-pressure water cannons.
The torrents drenched the biscuit soldiers, turning them soggy and weak. Under the renewed barrage, they shattered in droves.
From afar, Cracker roared in disbelief. "How the hell did you know?!"
Chiyu didn't answer. Raising his newly acquired blade, Enma, he swung.
"God—Dragon-Slayer!"
The strike ripped through everything—Homie ships, biscuit soldiers, and the waves themselves—carving a massive, clear channel straight toward Big Mom's heartland.
Watching from the shadows, the Big Mom Pirates finally understood the truth.
This man wasn't just dangerous.
He was unstoppable.
