Episode 5: A Memory Locked in Gold
The morning after the beast attack, yuexin sat alone beneath the Spirit Tree. Its golden leaves shimmered with ancient energy — and somewhere among the wind… her own soul whispered to her.
> "There's more… more you forgot."
She clutched her chest.
Something was buried deep — something sealed in her first life. And it had to do with a golden aura.
Scene: ran's Eyes
From the shadows of the temple wall, Prince Ran watched her silently. His hand curled into a fist.
> She's remembering too quickly.
If she remembers that night… will she still trust me?
He turned to leave — but yuexin looked up.
> "Ran," she called softly, "come here."
He hesitated… then walked toward her. He sat beside her under the tree, not saying a word.
Yuexin didn't look at him.
> "Tell me something honest," she said. "Just once."
> "Like what?" His voice was rough.
> "Why do I feel safe with you? Why do I think I knew you before this life?"
He froze.
A long silence.
Then — softly — he said:
> "Because you did."
"And I failed you."
Yuexin's heart skipped.
> "What…?"
But before he could say more,
Scene: A Rift Between Princes
Prince feng appeared at the edge of the garden. His blue eyes were cold.
> "You're getting too close to her, Ran."
Ran stood, anger rising. "What are you talking about?"
> "You think we don't see it? She's only supposed to choose after her awakening. You're breaking the balance."
The other four princes appeared behind feng. The tension grew.
> "If she loves one too deeply," yin said, "the others may lose their fate-bond… and that'll destroy the prophecy."
> "You're scaring her," jian snapped.
> "Maybe we should test if she's truly bonded to you," zen added, stepping into the shadows.(They only want yuexin remember everything)
Yuexin stood suddenly.
> "Enough!"
Her aura flared — the sigils behind her forming into a blade of light.
> "I don't belong to fate or prophecy. I'll love who I want. Protect who I want."
All six princes froze.
They had forgotten — even just a fragment of her power was stronger than all of theirs combined.
But only one prince lowered his head in silence.
Ran.
Later That Night
Yuexin stared at the sky from her balcony.
A small glowing crystal floated in her palm — something left behind after the beast died.
She whispered to herself:
> "I'm not just the Saintess…"
The crystal pulsed — and a voice echoed from within:
> "Daughter of the Moon Flame… Find the Phoenix Gate."
