Chapter 41 - Chapter 121: An Invitation from the Emperor Xue Ye

After finishing his complaints on the diary panel, Zhao Ling clicked upload. Immediately, he received notifications: +1 Appearance and +500 Years to All Spirit Rings.

Finally, Zhao Ling's appearance score had risen from 89 to 90. Though it was only a one-point increase, it marked his transition from the 80s tier to the 90s in terms of looks.

At the very moment Zhao Ling's appearance improved, Ah Yin, who had been occasionally sneaking glances at him, frowned slightly.

She couldn't understand why—Zhao Ling's facial features were clearly the same—yet he looked noticeably more handsome than before, even more eye-catching.

Ah Yin scanned him up and down, swallowing unconsciously. "H-Husband, why does Yin-er feel like you look a little different? I can't say exactly how, but something's changed."

Her words puzzled Liu Erlong and Bo Saixi, who also turned their attention to Zhao Ling.

They were equally astonished to find that while Zhao Ling's facial features hadn't changed, his appearance was noticeably enhanced.

Combined with the effects of his "Female Killer Lv.1" passive, it left the women feeling parched, unable to tear their eyes away from him.

Bo Saixi realized that while Zhao Ling might not yet surpass Qian Daoliu in terms of raw appearance, his unique charm made him far more alluring than both Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen.

She couldn't help but gaze at Zhao Ling's lips, suddenly having the urge to lean in and kiss him.

Thankfully, there was a table between them—otherwise, she might've lost control and embarrassed herself.

Liu Erlong also gulped involuntarily, feeling the desire to stand up and kiss him. But the sudden appearance of the "Zhao Ling Diary Copy" before her helped restrain the impulse.

Bo Saixi and Ah Yin also saw their respective copies of Zhao Ling's diary and were curious about what he had written this time.

All three beauties were present, and yet this guy still had the time and mood to write a diary? Was he mentally okay?

With that thought, Liu Erlong, Bo Saixi, and Ah Yin opened their copies and began reading, their eyes following Zhao Ling's magnetically deep narration.

Just then, a group of people entered the café. Leading them was a young man in an opulent python robe, exuding aristocratic grandeur, with a head full of golden hair.

As the richly dressed man approached their table, he fixed his gaze on Zhao Ling and gave a slight nod.

"I am Prince Xue Xing of the Heaven Dou Empire. By decree of His Majesty, Emperor Xue Ye, I would like to invite you to the palace for a conversation. Would you honor us with your presence?"

Zhao Ling exchanged glances with Ah Yin and Bo Saixi.

Earlier, they had felt someone tailing them, but they hadn't expected it to be the royal family of the Heaven Dou Empire.

Zhao Ling smiled subtly and turned to Prince Xue Xing. "So it's Your Highness. But I don't believe we've met before. What brings Your Highness here to find me personally? And as for His Majesty, I don't believe we've ever even crossed paths. Why would he suddenly want to meet with me? May I ask the reason?"

Prince Xue Xing nodded slightly, his expression calm, and recounted their encounter the previous day.

"You may not recall, but we saw you while returning to the city yesterday. Your presence was memorable, so I reported the matter to my royal brother. He expressed interest in meeting you. Would you honor us with your time?"

"I see…" Zhao Ling suddenly understood. So they had coincidentally run into Prince Xue Xing upon entering the city. With his eye for detail, it was no surprise that he sensed something extraordinary about them.

After all, under normal conditions, even Titled Douluo would struggle to outrun galloping horses without using spirit power or martial spirits.

Zhao Ling could manage it thanks to his three or four 100,000-year spirit rings, which gave him immense soul power and terrifying physical prowess.

Combined with his basic Wild Barbarian Physique, which tripled his stats, Zhao Ling wasn't just strong in one area—he was an all-around monster in terms of power, speed, and endurance.

Bo Saixi could keep up due to her being a Level 99 Limit Douluo, which gave her a body far stronger than an ordinary Titled Douluo. Outrunning galloping horses with raw physical strength was nothing for her.

Seeing this, Prince Xue Xing likely guessed they were extraordinary Titled Douluo, prompting him to report to the emperor, who then sent him to extend this invitation. It made sense.

Zhao Ling nodded without hesitation. "Since it's an invitation from Emperor Xue Ye and Your Highness, it would be rude of me to decline. Please, lead the way."

He turned his gaze toward the three women and gently reassured them.

"You three stay here at the café for a bit longer. I'll visit the palace and see what Emperor Xue Ye wants. I'll be back right after. Don't wander off, alright?"

The three nodded in unison, but Prince Xue Xing quickly shook his head.

"Wait, could we also invite the female Titled Douluo who was traveling with you yesterday to the palace? Don't worry, there's no ill intent. His Majesty simply wishes to meet you both."

Zhao Ling and Bo Saixi exchanged glances. Though they were unsure of the emperor's true intentions, they eventually nodded in agreement.

As for Ah Yin and Liu Erlong's safety, Zhao Ling wasn't concerned at all.

If the royal family dared lay a finger on either of them, Zhao Ling and Bo Saixi wouldn't hesitate to wipe out the entire royal bloodline.

And don't underestimate them—either one alone could destroy the Heaven Dou royal family. Together, they were practically unstoppable.

Zhao Ling turned to Bo Saixi and asked gently, "Saixi, would you be willing to come with me to the Heaven Dou Palace? Since the emperor wants to meet us, shall we go?"

"Sure, no problem," Bo Saixi replied, getting up and walking briskly to Zhao Ling's side.

He glanced at Ah Yin and Liu Erlong. "Yin-er, Erlong, you two stay here and relax a bit. We'll be back right after meeting the emperor."

"Mmm…" both nodded simultaneously, watching as Zhao Ling and Bo Saixi left the café—and then began chatting amongst themselves.
