Chapter 1 - 1 - Birth

Being reincarnated into a world that was unfamiliar to me, you could say that I had no clue what to do.

Parents that were unfamiliar to me, a body that allowed me to retain memories of my previous life.

Nothing is more off-putting than being inside a body that wasn't yours.

Looking around me, I could tell I was wrapped tightly in a cloth.

Looking around, all I could spot were the furnishings used to decor a bedroom.

Although I couldn't help but feel sad that I died, I was brought hope through being born once again.

Lets try to look towards my bright future!

Well, maybe after I sleep a bit.

-----

"Honey, look. Our baby boy finally fell asleep." A woman said to her husband, looking at the baby boy that had just fallen asleep on the bed.

Trisha Yun, the mother of the recently born baby stood alongside her husband, Gram Yun.

"He looks so cute, I want to pinch him." Gram Yun, although tough and ragged looking, was a kind and person filled with warmth, especially at the sight of his new born son.

"What should we name him?" Trisha said as she tried to come up with a name for her son. He wasn't someone particularly special. His birthdate was nothing special, he had no special auspicious appearances occurring around him, and he was seemingly a normal baby.

"What about, Heyi? He's our first baby, the one who'll unite us into an official family." Gram said with a bit of contemplation. He thought that by naming his child this, there'd be some thoughtful meaning behind it, special to both him and his wife.

"That's fine, Heyi, I like it." Trisha, repeated to herself sounding it out and appreciating the name of her baby boy, Heyi Yun.

With that, Gram and Trish both embraced each other in celebration for the official birth of Heyi Yun, son of Trish Yun and Gram Yun.

As they embraced each other watching over the sleeping boy, there was a sudden star streaking across the bright sky.

No one had noticed the star that had streaked across the bright sky. No one was able to perceive it as it was barely visible to the mortal eye but to the immortals, it was but a sign of destiny that illuminated in the vast space similar to others.

-----

Not knowing anything about this world, I decided to explore the world a little bit

The best way to make a baby go outside?

Simply make noises to attract attention and start crawling or pointing in the direction you want to go.

Conveniently enough, my new mother, Trisha, always carried me around and cared for me.

If I pointed at the window, she would take me outside for a bit and I could see the property.

Although our house wasn't large by any means, it was a moderate size comfortable enough for the three of us.

Truthfully speaking, I have no idea what kind of world I am in.

Comparing this world to my old world, this world seemed to be filled with more primitive technology but not quite primitive. There were some advancements in this world similar to my old one such as the creation of architect where the had managed to establish a foundation, frame, and then proceeded to ceilings and then walls and final details last.

Of course, I wasn't knowledgeable in that regard and only seen it at construction sites.

In fact, I was witnessing that exact thing before my very eyes.

Looking to the side, he could see that his new neighbor had recently moved in, but not into a new house but was building a house.

The crazy thing was that he had saw everything being done in nearly less than a day. Although the house itself hadn't been painted and reinforced, he could already tell that something was wrong.

Building a house in less than a day is practically inhuman.

Sighing in disbelief, Heyi had looked away not wanting to self-destruct his brain into day dreaming and believing in weird supernatural things.

There's no way the world he was born in was filled with strange powers, right?

Truthfully speaking, Heyi wanted no part in any strange powers. Back in his old world, there were many cases about the supernatural, all mostly negative.

Having power is one thing, but having supernatural powers is another. One is needed to survive in society while the other can destroy society.

Being tossed into an unknown world is already enough, being forced to become a superhuman would mean that I have to fight for survival.

Disregarding the negative thoughts on his peaceful life so far, he simply groaned and shifted his little body in Trisha's arms indicating that he was hungry and was tired.

Seeing this little action, Trisha had no choice but to head back inside and prepare some food for her lovely baby. Quietly, she set down Heyi into his own room and watched as he drifted to bed before she went to the kitchen to prepare food for her family.
