Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

"You got a death wish, kid? Demanding money from us here?"The guards below the arena began shouting angrily at Renji Kai.

"If I don't get my five million Beli today, things might not go so smoothly," Renji said casually.

The moment he finished speaking, Sarudais leapt down from the upper floor straight onto the arena platform. Without hesitation, he kicked the corpse of Prisoner 38 lying on the ground, sending it flying off to the side like trash.

"Your opponent now is me. I'd like to make a new wager—how about it?" Sarudais said coldly, holding a trident in his hand.

"Alright," Renji replied. "What are the terms?"

"If I lose, I'll give you five million. If you lose, you leave your life behind."

"That sounds a bit unfair for me. What if I don't want to bet?" Renji said, pretending to think.

"Then you'll still leave your life behind," Sarudais growled.

Hearing this, Renji instantly understood—he'd officially become a dangerous individual. And in this place, dangerous people were either sent to the lower levels of the prison… or eliminated.

It was clear Sarudais intended to kill him here and now.

A bold idea had already formed in Renji's mind. He no longer wanted to stay here, grinding for a few hundred reputation points per battle through these so-called life-and-death matches. It was far too slow.

So he had made up his mind: he would rely entirely on the Might Guy character and blow through the entire Impel Down!

And to do that, his first target was naturally the warden of Level One—Sarudais.

"Fine, I'll take your bet," Renji said with a smirk. "But I want to raise the stakes."

"Oh?" Sarudais sneered. "What are you proposing?"

"If I lose, I leave my life behind. But if you lose… you leave yours behind too. How about that?"

"You think you can kill me? Don't get cocky!" Sarudais snapped. With a cold laugh, he lunged forward with his trident, aiming for Renji's chest.

"Fool. Leaf Body Flicker Technique!"

Just as the trident was about to stab into him, Renji's figure vanished.

In the blink of an eye, he reappeared behind Sarudais.

"You're too slow."

Sarudais' eyes went wide with disbelief as he felt the air shift behind him. A chill ran down his spine. He tried to spin around and strike again, but in that split second, Renji's kick was already coming.

"Dynamic Entry!!"

Renji didn't hold back at all. He channeled all his strength into his right leg, combining it with explosive speed.

His foot smashed directly into Sarudais' face, distorting his features on impact.

BOOM!

Like a kite with its string cut, Sarudais flew backward dozens of meters and crashed violently to the cold stone floor.

From the cells on either side of the arena, the prisoners were stunned silent at first when they saw Sarudais lying motionless on the ground.

Then came the cheers.

Deafening, thunderous cheers.

Every prisoner in the Red Lotus Hell erupted with joy. They had all suffered under Sarudais' brutal regime, and now, seeing him utterly crushed was more satisfying than they could have imagined.

The nearby guards, however, were thrown into chaos.

"Stop him! And someone report this to Chief Guard Sadi!" one guard shouted.

All guards in Impel Down were under the command of Sadi, while Sarudais was only in charge of the Blue Gorillas. And because the Blue Gorillas were, frankly, big dumb brutes, Sarudais had specially requested a unit to help oversee the deathmatch operations.

So instinctively, the guards moved to contact Sadi, who was stationed on the fourth floor of the prison.

Renji, seeing some of them scrambling to flee, didn't bother chasing them.

After all, Impel Down was littered with Surveillance Den Den Mushi—living video snails that acted like cameras. Everything that happened inside the prison was being broadcast directly to the monitoring room.

So Renji knew that his battle with Sarudais had already been seen throughout the entire facility.

And if he wanted to smash his way through Impel Down, he'd have to take down every guard here, one by one. Better to let them come to him.

At that moment, the system chimed again in his mind:

Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have successfully defeated your opponent. You've received 5,000 reputation points.

Renji's eyes lit up. Just for defeating Sarudais, he'd received five thousand reputation points. If taking out Sarudais earned this much, then what about defeating the prison chief—Magellan?

That could easily be tens of thousands of points!

In just ten minutes, he had earned 5,500 points. Far more than he ever expected.

By now, the reinforcements had arrived and formed up, rifles trained squarely on Renji.

"Open fire!" one of the guards shouted.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A barrage of bullets rained down on Renji.

"You call that an attack? I've seen ants hit harder. Great Vajra Dragon—wait, sorry, wrong line! Let's try again. You call that an attack? Leaf Body Flicker Technique!"

Renji dodged again, using the high-speed movement skill to evade every single bullet perfectly.

In the next moment, he dashed straight into the front lines of the guards.

Thanks to inheriting Might Guy's full body techniques and physique, Renji now had lightning-fast reflexes and explosive power.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of heavy impacts rang out as guards were knocked out cold, their bodies sent flying across the floor.

Inside the prison cells, the inmates were going wild.

"Hey, brother! Let us out! We'll help you fight our way out!" a voice shouted from one of the cells.

The moment those words rang out, the prison erupted in chaos.

CLANG CLANG CLANG—prisoners slammed on their cell bars in unison, the noise echoing across the entire first floor of Red Lotus Hell.

Renji glanced up at one of the Den Den Mushi mounted on the wall. A smirk curled across his lips.

"Well, since everyone's asking so nicely... let the real party begin."
