Then, under the watchful eyes of the onlookers, he collapsed straight backward!
Seeing this, the remaining members of the Sea Dragon Pirates were completely stunned! They had never imagined that their opponent could possess such terrifying strength!
Even the leader, Sea Dragon, was already contemplating escape.
"Enough. Stop wasting time—kill them all," Renji Kai ordered calmly.
These pirates had been wreaking havoc across the region, and in Renji's heart, he knew it was better to wipe them out completely.
Hearing Renji's command, Douglas Bullet's expression turned cold, and an intense killing intent radiated from his eyes.
At that moment, Sea Dragon knew that this time, there was little hope of survival. Escaping unscathed was no longer possible.
He immediately pulled out one of his regenerating teeth from his mouth and shouted to the fish-men behind him, "Kill them all!"
But just as the pirates began their charge, Douglas Bullet let out a shout, and his overwhelming aura burst forth in an instant.
In the next moment, a blue energy surged outward from his body in all directions.
Upon contact with the blue wave, Sea Dragon and his underlings were instantly blown away!
"Conqueror's Haki?" Renji Kai was inwardly shocked by the display.
He knew Douglas Bullet had mastered all three types of Haki, but seeing Conqueror's Haki used so expertly was a first for Renji.
Conqueror's Haki was a trait of kings. Those who wielded it could dominate and intimidate opponents without even striking, and could even cause the weak to faint outright.
Unlike Observation Haki and Armament Haki, Conqueror's Haki could neither be learned nor inherited—it was something determined solely by one's fate.
It was clear that Douglas Bullet had completely mastered his own Conqueror's Haki.
Sea Dragon struggled to rise from the ground, his body now marked with several new scars—gifts from Douglas Bullet.
The rest of the fish-men were in even worse shape. Most of them had been killed on the spot, their orifices bleeding due to the overwhelming Haki.
Even Hatch, one of the lieutenants, was barely clinging to life, lying half-dead on the ground.
Now, only Sea Dragon remained on his feet, albeit barely. He was completely spent, blood pouring from the corner of his mouth, his former arrogance nowhere to be found.
"Can you... spare me?" Sea Dragon asked with difficulty.
"Kneel," Renji Kai stepped forward and commanded calmly.
Without hesitation, Sea Dragon dropped to his knees.
"Now can I go?" he asked, his dignity shattered, looking up at Renji with pleading eyes.
"When you were massacring innocent villagers, did you ever think of sparing them?"
"I-I didn't massacre anyone! I was protecting them—from worse pirates who rape, rob, and burn!"
Sea Dragon desperately tried to defend himself.
"You're greedy, violent, and obsessed with money. You not only exploited the nearby villages, but you also colluded with high-ranking Navy officers. That rat of a colonel was your lackey, wasn't he?"
At the mention of the rat-like Navy officer, Sea Dragon's pupils widened. He stared at Renji Kai in disbelief.
How could this young man, whom he had never met before, know so much about him?
"Nothing more to say? Good. Close your eyes. It won't hurt," Renji said as he glanced toward Douglas Bullet.
"No—please!" Sea Dragon begged.
But it was already too late!!!
After successfully executing Sea Dragon, Renji Kai and Douglas Bullet returned to the Navy warship they had arrived on.
As they boarded the ship, a large crowd of townspeople suddenly gathered along the shore.
"What are they trying to do?" Renji asked, puzzled by the sight.
But the next moment, the villagers erupted into cheers, waving and shouting in joy!
Seeing this, Renji looked at the Navy warship beneath his feet and finally understood.
These people had been hiding and watching the whole time. When they saw Renji and Douglas kill Sea Dragon and then board a Navy ship, they assumed the two of them were Navy officers sent to eliminate the Sea Dragon Pirates.
So now, the grateful townsfolk had come out to send them off with heartfelt thanks.
"Didn't expect to do a good deed today. Maybe the Navy will finally consider inviting me to join the Seven Warlords of the Sea," Renji said with a smirk.
"Seven Warlords of the Sea?" Douglas Bullet, who had been isolated from the world for years, asked curiously.
"It's a temporary organization—there are seven members, all world-renowned pirates who are officially sanctioned by the World Government.
Each of them is a calamity-level threat, with power rivaling that of entire nations.
So the World Government gave them special privileges. They're allowed to conduct illegal activities, but in return, they have to assist the Navy during certain operations," Renji explained.
"That's absurd. Pirates working for the World Government? That's a disgrace to all pirates. Do I know any of these seven?"
"Funny you ask. You actually do know one of them. You fought him once back in the day, and he's doing quite well now."
"Who?"
