Chapter 23 - Red-boob

Lilith gave Alexander's words some thought:

'It really would be heartbreaking to see Father or Mother crying… much less calling themselves useless. But in my case, it's different. I just stay cooped up in that hopelessly huge castle. I get everything I want, but I don't do anything that contributes to the growth of the Demon Realm… But as for Lucia—'

She deadpanned, "Father, Mother, and Ruben have all contributed something. But Lucia is too useless for me to feel any remorse for her."

"Who the hell is Lucia?!" Alexander yelled.

Lilith drifted back into thought: 'Well… he did say I was unique...'

Meet Lilith Morningstar—currently having her first proper conversation with a male outside her family in three hundred years.

'S-So maybe it means I've enthralled him somehow? But still, who is this hum—!!'

"Eek! Wh-What are you doing?!" she squeaked as Alexander suddenly face-dived into her ample chest, completely flustered.

He looked up innocently.

"Uh… This is what babies normally do when they're hungry," he said, eyes darting everywhere.

In truth, Alexander had been curious about the "red boobs" ever since he caught a glimpse of them spilling out the sides of her dress. Then the genius idea of feigning infant instincts came to mind.

"Hehe," he chuckled. "It's kinda funny…"

"?"

"…How you still blush even when your skin's already red."

Lilith turned redder than usual, shoving his small head back into her chest.

"What are you saying all of a sudden?! I cannot be flustered by a mere human!"

'Ahh… So this is what she's like when the curse isn't telling me to commit murder,' Alexander thought. 'Now… how do I get the most out of this situation?!'

"Uhm…" he mumbled into her chest.

"What?"

"We're gonna have to stay like this for a bit… I need to hold your chest like this for… important purposes."

{Master, you sleaze. And you have me, too.}

(Sorry, I'm on a red-boob diet right now.)

{You're awful!}

"What… important purpose?" Lilith asked, blinking innocently.

(Sera, give me something!)

{You mean help you lie so you can cheat on me? Over my dead body.}

(Wha—?! Then how do I escape this situation my hormones threw me into?)

{You reap what you sow, Master. And for the record, your hormones had nothing to do with your blatant sexual harassment.}

After much groveling, Sera finally caved.

"Ah—of course," Alexander said, now speaking with way more confidence than he deserved. "I need to hold you like this to heal you. I mean, I'm the reason you're hurt, right? So it's only fair."

Lilith looked away. "Y-You don't have to do that… demons heal faster than weak humans."

But even as she protested, something clicked.

'Wait… It's working. Is there even a human who can heal demons? And he's not even using magic—actually, I sense almost no magic at all from him. He really is strange. He's even a literal infant…'

Meanwhile, Alexander's thoughts were far less noble:

'Ehehe… Red boobs are softer than the average. I like red boobs now. I want to live the rest of my life surrounded by red boobs…'

He was high on red-boob bliss.

Lilith, reacting to his squirming against her chest, finally asked:

"Uh… human. Is it really necessary for you to, um… massage it like that?"

Alexander looked up with a perfectly serious expression.

"It's an absolutely normal and highly effective healing method."

"Huh? R-Really?" Lilith gasped, completely caught off guard. "I… I didn't know…"

'Gah! I can't believe a human just taught me something so important!' she thought in shame. 'And the way he said it so confidently… is this common knowledge?! How embarrassing!'

"However..." Lilith's voice cut through the quiet, "...the way you're using your tiny fingers... it's m-making me feel... lewd."

"?!"

Alexander instantly flew off her, hovering a few feet away like he'd touched lava.

'Was I found out?!' he gulped.

His face was redder than her skin.

"U-UHM!" he stammered, tugging at his baby overalls. "I'm really sorry! I got carried away!"

{Pfft!}

(Sera, please. Not now. I'm emotionally exposed.)

"Th-That kind of thing…" Lilith said, her eyes darting back and forth between Alexander and the sky, "I believe... it should only be done after m-marriage."

"EH?! I-I-I-I wasn't doing anything perverted—at least not on purpose!" he babbled. "I mean—haha—I'm a baby!"

"…"

Lilith was still clearly flustered.

'Her reaction…' Alexander noted. 'It's almost like those dating sim games I played at work.'

{Master, you really should've worked more diligently.}

(Hey, Sera… doesn't this mean Red-Boob kinda… sees me as a guy?)

{…You think so?}

(I'm not sure. I mean, I'm literally one year old.)

{Geez, Master. Love doesn't care about age. I mean, I love you too.}

(Sera… thank you. Though I'm still processing you as a woman due to all your antics, I appreciate it. Okay. Let's get bold!)

(Sera's next thought, thankfully, didn't reach him:)

{Master, you dense fool.}

"But…" Alexander started, shyly tracing circles in the dirt with his foot, "If we could wait like… maybe 13 to 15 years from now… I'd love to, you know… try something serious."

Lilith blinked fast, her hand fiddling with a strand of her hair. "H-Huh? R-Really?"

"Really!" Alexander grinned. "I mean, your ethereal beauty is obvious. Your form is top-tier. Look at those polished horns! I've never seen a girl with horns before—it gives you this… I dunno, presence? Authority?"

He went on, unaware of the effect he was having. "I thought maybe you were trying to get back at me for the fight earlier… but you're actually easy to talk to. And you're nice. So yeah, I'd love to be in a relationship with you someday!"

"…"

Lilith looked like her brain had momentarily stopped working. She was very flustered now.

All the compliments she'd ever received were from over-eager suitors (whom she usually punched after greetings), lecherous nobles at events, or awkward praise from family.

But this…

This was new. This was pure. This was a gentleman... or rather, gentlebaby.

"And I could really use someone to show me the ropes in this world, too," Alexander added.

{Master, how awful! When you have me!}

(Ah—sorry, sorry! That just slipped out!)

"This world?" Lilith tilted her head, mildly confused.

'Shit.'

But then, salvation came.

"Ah, I understand!" Lilith nodded. "You were just born not too long ago, weren't you? I keep forgetting, considering how mature you seem."

Saved. By the insanity of this world.

As Alexander held his little baby heart in his chest, sighing in relief—

"About your proposal…" Lilith began. "I don't mind humoring you. You're stronger than most humans, and you might live long enough…"

Alexander turned red again, and the smile on his face practically tried to leap off.
