The sun — the largest mass in the solar system and the only star in it.
Without the sun, the entire solar system wouldn't exist.
And billions of humans on Earth, along with countless other life forms, simply cannot lose the sun.
Otherwise, they might have to start the Wandering Earth plan...
The sun's surface temperature is thousands of degrees, capable of destroying any material.
But today, a dazzling streak of light flew toward the sun at speeds beyond light itself, racing across the vast universe.
Then, in an instant, it stopped near the sun.
"So, this is the sun?"
Though Peter sees the sun every day from Earth, nothing compares to the awe of seeing it up close like this.
Powerful solar winds whipped up massive ion storms, nearly brushing against Peter's body.
At this moment, the sun was pouring out its purest radiation energy, constantly merging into Peter's body.
Even the golden solar storms swirling around seemed attracted to him, wrapping around his body and flooding his cells with huge amounts of energy.
In that instant, every cell in Peter's body seemed alive — beating like a heart.
His cells were wildly active, absorbing the sun's energy nonstop.
After fusing the template, Peter's already hundredfold-increased power surged even higher.
In less than an hour, Peter felt something new — his cells actually felt "full" for the first time.
Yet, the sun's pull on him remained insanely strong, as if it wanted him to dive into its core.
Looking at the blazing sun so close, Peter hesitated.
"Maybe next time."
In the end, he gave up the bold idea of entering the sun's core.
Turning around, he sped away from the sun even faster than before, streaking through space like a bright comet.
Far away in Asgard, Heimdall was still faithfully guarding the Rainbow Bridge.
His special eyes scanned the Nine Realms, watching for anything unusual.
Suddenly, he remembered the new god from Midgard who defeated Thor, crushed Mjolnir, and even drove Odin away.
His eyes flickered with hesitation.
But in the next moment, his expression hardened, and he turned his gaze toward Midgard.
"How is this possible? In such a short time, he's become this strong!"
Just as he tried to look at the new god on Earth, a blinding flash bounced back at him.
Even with his eyes, the strongest in the Nine Realms, Heimdall was dazzled and his eyes ached painfully.
Only after several minutes did his vision clear again.
But from then on, he dared not look at the Midgard god again.
"That guy got this strong so fast — does Thor even stand a chance to defeat him and wipe away his shame?"
At that moment, Heimdall doubted whether even Thor, Odin's son, could beat that terrifying opponent.
As he thought this, his gaze drifted toward Thor's place of exile.
What came into view was an enormous tree.
Its dense branches seemed to cover the entire Nine Realms.
The branches stretching from its trunk vanished into the void, impossible to see their end — no one could guess how huge the tree really was.
As his eyes moved, Heimdall spotted a familiar figure beneath the world tree.
But this time, the figure had his legs and head reversed — he had tied his legs with vines from the world tree and was lying upside down beneath it.
"Lord Thor... Has he still not awakened the thunder power inside him?"
Originally, Heimdall had a lot of faith in his friend Thor, the God of Thunder.
He believed that even without his mighty hammer, Thor could, through sheer willpower, tap into his divine bloodline and awaken his true thunder power.
But after just one look, Heimdall suddenly realized that Thor's potential didn't even compare to that terrifying guy he had seen before.
During the time Thor was exiled, Heimdall kept a close eye on him.
He noticed that at first, Thor fell into a slump, feeling lost and defeated. Then, somehow, he ended up lying beneath the World Tree.
But the World Tree isn't like any normal plant.
To just lie beneath it and endure takes an unbelievably strong will—ordinary people couldn't do it at all.
Even with the Asgardian godly body, Thor barely managed to hold on for less than a minute the first time. His spirit was nearly crushed outright.
Still, Thor kept trying, and each time, he stayed longer.
Heimdall could clearly feel Thor's willpower growing stronger and stronger.
By today, Thor had already reached a full four hours of endurance.
But today, Heimdall noticed something different.
"Is this… the sign that Thor's thunder power is about to awaken?"
Faint sparks of electricity began to flicker across Thor's body lying beneath the World Tree.
As time passed, those sparks grew brighter, swirling and flowing around him.
"Thor… is he really about to awaken the true power of thunder?"
At that moment, as Thor's close friend, Heimdall was genuinely happy for him.
Suddenly, Thor's tightly shut eyes snapped open.
But instead of his usual eyes, two shining silver lights burst forth instantly.
The next second, brilliant lightning crackled wildly all around Thor, exploding with overwhelming energy.
The World Tree vines that had bound his feet instantly shattered.
Thor's body was freed completely from the World Tree, falling toward the ground.
Bang!
Mid-fall, Thor twisted his body and landed in a cool one-knee pose.
"Yes! I did it! I've finally truly awakened the power of thunder!"
Getting up slowly, looking at the dazzling electricity swirling around his hands, Thor threw back his head and laughed loudly.
Watching this, Heimdall was just as thrilled.
Without hesitation, he opened the Rainbow Bridge and brought Thor back to Asgard.
"Heimdall! Did you see it? I did it, I really did it!"
Back in Asgard, Thor stretched out his arms, crackling with thunder power, showing off to his best friend.
Crack!
Dark clouds gathered in the usually calm Asgardian sky, and a bolt of lightning suddenly lit up the entire realm.
"That brat… this time, he didn't disappoint me."
In the grand golden hall, Odin stood clad in shining armor, gripping the eternal spear. Feeling the sudden thunder, the tired look on his face vanished instantly.
"Did that fool really pull it off?"
But down below in the hall, Loki's expression twisted sharply.
He had been hoping to take back the throne while Thor was gone.
But he was just a step too late.
"Heimdall, come with me. I want to tell Father the good news."
Thor was like an excited kid now, calling Heimdall to go meet Odin.
"And that guy—I'm definitely going to beat him this time and wipe away all the humiliation!"
Then, like he suddenly remembered something, his face turned serious and determined.
"No need, Thor. I'm sure the Allfather already knows everything."
"And he told me to have a new weapon forged for you in Nidavellir once you awakened your thunder power!"
Heimdall's excitement settled a bit, and before Thor could say no, he opened the Rainbow Bridge again.
A beam of light swept over Thor, shooting straight toward Nidavellir, home of the dwarves!
"….."
