Chapter 10 - Airplane Distress

Ishar and Naren ignored each other as much as they could, knowing that a single word could spark a fight between them. It was some sort of unknown magic between two enemies that only they understood.

Once seated in the plane, Ishar leaned back carefully and relaxed. Finally alone, he looked around once and then called Pratap. As usual, he picked up the call without a moment's hesitation.

"How are things going on there?" Ishar asked Pratap.

"We just reached the given location, setting things up now. We will search for Nivedhan Iyer and find out his details from tomorrow. What's up with you?" Pratap questioned.

"Well remember the oval thing I told you about? It's now called CB-1-".

"CB-1? Who keeps a name like that? I thought it would be Death Asteroid, or The Dark Angel."

"CB-1, stands for Celestial Body of Danger. It's the first one of its kind, so it's named CB-1, Pratap." Ishar said with a sigh of disbelief.

Pratap gave a hmph of understanding from the other end.

"So, there's something weird going on with the object. Its electromagnetic signals are directed towards a spot in the Arabian Sea near Kerala. They've sent me and two other people to investigate what's happening, along with you guys."

"So you're coming here. Nice. We'll do both our cases simultaneously. I'm a master at multitasking. Who are the other two?" Pratap asked.

"One is Anjani Deshpande, a clever intelligence member, and you'll never guess who the other is." Ishar replied, with a sorrowful look.

"I'm not playing guessing games right now." Pratap said, "Who is it?"

"It's Naren Parekh."

There was a long and depressing silence.

It seemed as though Pratap was giving a two-minute silence of mourning at the funeral of Ishar's happiness.

"Don't worry Ishar. If he does anything, he'll have to face us."he finally said, "We'll go through this together. We're awaiting you. Bye!"
