Chapter 43 - Hacking

This room had its light on, so did the other, and another, and another, and another, oh, not this one, and another, and and another- wait.

Ishar stepped back a few paces. A room, full of computers and devoid of any humans stood there, with its light off, looking exquisitely perfect.

Ishar could now hear Naren's voice buzzing in his ear, as the latter talked to Khurana. Ishar tip-toed quietly, sat on a chair, turned the computer on, and silently inserted the drive.

"Got it Pratap?", he muttered under his breath.

"Absolutely!" came the joyous reply.

The slightly red webpage on the computer confirmed the silent hacking.

"How long now?"

"Thirty minutes at max." Karan replied. "You guys better get out of there."

Ishar nodded his head out of muscle memory, and sprang out of the office. Then, looking as composed and important as ever, he exited the building through the backside emergency doors, not wanting to face the witch-like receptionist.

However, a sly smirk creeped upon his face, thinking about the appointment situation that poor Naren was currently dealing with, alone.

After an estimated amount of thirty minutes, a voice rang through Ishar's earpiece, saying that the hacking was complete. About five minutes later, Naren exited the building, looking thoroughly irritated and smug at the same time.

Upon Ishar's questioning, he replied, 'Well, I successfully made Khurana uncomfortable about his own business.

However, that receptionist nearly bored me to death with the personal and security details. It's a pity she didn't join the Army. She could have fought our enemies just by using her voice."

Ishar laughed. He had never agreed more with Naren.
