Chapter 55 - In Action

The next day was as hectic as a local train. Everyone was in a rush to gather as much evidence as they could about Pralaya-1. It had been only about one to two days since Ishar had obtained Rathore's search warrant, but he decided to postpone the plans to another few days.

Between world destruction, and Rathore's idiotic plans, he would choose the first.

Venkatesh had been extensively great in providing the team with as much information as he could. It turned out that the paan business was just a front, and he had secretly been finding as much data as he could about other threats and dangers.

"I have a room filled with all the gizmos-", he said, "You guys can use them. You look like professionals."

"Thanks." replied Aniket and Karan, while the others looked admiringly at him..

Besides that, he had a vast knowledge about Sanskrit literature and ancient wisdom. Ishar felt like Venkatesh was wasting his talent by staying in the village, when he could be helping the Indian Army.

"Well, I am helping it in a way." Venkatesh would reply, grinning.

Meanwhile, Karan and Aniket decided to track down Rathore's record in the Arabian Sea. It seemed that he had visited the singular spot once in his life, for an underwater 'educational' program. And also, Khurana and Gujar had met him just after visiting the singular spot with Nivedhan (surprise!).

They even found out some interesting ways to communicate 'offline'.

Ishar then told Gargi and Anjani about his plan to recreate the ancient astras. It didn't take too long to convince them, and by 11:00 am, they were already on a plane back to the military research facility.

Aarush had already booked their tickets, minutes after Ishar's late night call, and the weapons were cleared from security, under the label of 'china dishes.'

Aarush had even alerted the ISRO and DRDO scientists about the spaceship, and they were now focusing on ways to detect its weak spots and heat temperatures for a reliable weakness.

It was after a while, when Ishar was studying the ancient spaceships with Naren, that his phone began to ring.

It was Tanik Sehwag, the Navy Captain.

He picked up the call, and said, "Tanik! How are you? Reached the singular spot yet?"

Tanik replied in a joyous voice, "I am great, Ishar! How are you? Is Naren with you?"

Naren, who was sitting beside Ishar, said, "I'm here Tanik! Did you think that I could forget you, the fight-breaker, so easily?"

The three of them laughed heartily.

Then Tanik said,

"Anyways, getting to the main point. I'm here, at the singular spot, and I have observed some intensely weird things here. Like Anjani had said, there's no life under the spot for miles as well. And there are huge pillars of rock at the bottom, making it quite hard for us to identify what's attracting CB-1.

The General told me that you think it's aliens, and to say the truth, I think you are getting onto something here. Sure, 'aliens' is a bit strange, but I guess it's the strangest it can get.

I have been with these scientists for months at the HQ, and I have never seen anything so strange."

Ishar's eyes lit up hopefully. He replied in a thankful voice,

"Thank you Tanik. Listen…we think that the aliens are looking for dimanium, a substance which is a mixture of silver and ivory colors. It is also really bright, like a star, or a diamond. It is NOT on our periodic table of elements, and it has a really high calorific value, so be VERY careful to not touch it with something hot."

"Dimanium huh?" Tanik replied. "How do you expect me to find it if it's not on the periodic table?"

Ishar heard him sigh.

"Well, if it's as important and shiny as you say it is, I'm sure we will be able to spot it. I don't think the water currents would have acted on it, as this spot in the Arabian sea is literally brimming with cracks and creases. The topography scan will be done in an hour, along with the water purity and mineral detecting scan. Jai Hind."

"Jai Hind." replied Ishar and Naren, and they got back to focusing on their work. After some time, as Ishar lifted his cup to drink the heavenly taste of earthen coffee, his phone began to ring again.
