Next day, both me and tenten are called by Hokage sama. There we meet Tsunade sama and Eveie. They had been discussing how just mystic palm doesn't make a medic nin, one needs the understanding of anatomy to make proper use of it.
Eveie also agrees, saying that's why she named balmburn as a survival style jutsu, not a medical style. While she herself is a doctor, she has a lot on her plate at ground zero to add even more. If anatomy is too be taught, it has to be at the hospital.
Tsunade will create a new program in the hospital. This program is aimed at turning mystic palm users into proper medic ninjas. It will be like internship. Tsunade will set it up in next couple of months, and then shizune will take over it's responsibilities.
Me and Tenten are supposed to be her attendants and guards for the next 2 months. We are both competent medics and are strong enough to act as both chunin attendent and extra anbu guard.
Atleast this means we'll be in the village more. We let our teams and friends know that we will be at hospital most of the time, if they ever want to come hang out.
We even find time in the evening to go to training ground zero, to hang out with Eveie, her students and even some gennin who come here to contine practicing basics.
I met Naruto here and try to help him with nature transformation. After graduation, he realised that he has kyubi In him, and that it has it's making his chakra so unstable. I've had him practice turning his chakra into purer form by isolating kyubi's curroption.
This curroption is the reason he can't even truly perform level 1 of balmburn properly. It causes overcooking and adds a spicy flover to the fish cooked with it. I've been trying to get him to remove that curroption flavor from his balmburn.
I've taught him basic nature transformation for each element. This is not to master any particular element, but just to practice chakra nature transformation. If he can better turn chakra from one type to another, he can better turn isolate and control the nature of his chakra's curroption.
He hasn't progressed too much in it yet, but is coming along. If Naruto can learn to control the curroption of kyubi's chakra, he will be able to extract much more of its chakra when in need. He can even act as a Sort of chakra battery to power other people's jutsu.
Soon, others go on their next C rank missions, while Tenten and I are stuck at the hospital. But we are learning tremendous amounts under Tsunade. While i had some practice in treating humans, I was a vet by training. My time under Tsunade was some of my most productive time yet, allowing me to have a deeper understanding of what a top medic is capable of in this world.
We even started an internship program , where any ninja could take on missions at the hospital as volenteer staff. Their volenteers compensation will be decided by their contribution and their skill. They are given opportunities to practice and improve their skills under supervision, while the hospital gains cheap temp staff.
Tsunade has designed the program in such a way that even people like Lee could volenteer, but instead of treating them with chakra, he is taught to practice non chakra first-aid (bandages, poisons, antidotes, etc). Those would be more like male nurses that lift and clean patient or emergency paramedic, rather than a doctor.
Tenten and I are still Guy Sensie's former students, so we can't forget phisical conditioning. We find the time to go on runs with Guy Sensie and spar with each other and even our freinds when our schedules align.
Tenten has been using Zabuza's sword in our sparing. That sword really synergies well with her style. Her jutsu Water style: wave armor. Her wave armor enhances every strike from her, as if multiple waves hitting at the same time. The more powerful the orignal strike, the more powerful the enhancement.
Zabuza's Executioners blade is already so much bigger and heavier than her katana, every strike is much more deadly.
She can even use the big blade as a shield, with can be enhanced with her wave armor. Even if the blade ever did break, either from her enhanced strike or from being used as a shield, it can regenerate by absorbing blood.
She knew she couldn't ask hokage to keep the sword, so she just asked him if she could train with it. She can't damage the sword beyond repair, and any negotiations with mist are too far away to let it rot. She already had Zabuza's blessings to practice with it until his ransom is negotiated with mist village.
We both use various throwing ninja tools often in our fights, like kunai ,fuma shuriken and shuriken. Both Tenten and I have created throwing weapon fighting style perticular to us. We even have two versions of it.
First is Graceful twist, it is based on our Coiling link fighting style. It just involves using extra movements to add more force in the form of twist to your kunai or shuriken or even punch.
The Second is called Overdraw, it is based on Guy Sensie's Strong Fist style. In this, i push my body harder than I'm supposed to, to throw my weapon. This causes muscle and ligament backlash, but the power it adds is significant.
Tenten primarily practices Graceful twist as her main style. This makes her throws extremely accurate. She still practices Overdraw as training and to use it in case of emergency.
I primarily practices Overdraw, just like my primary taijutsu is Strong Fist. This means that even weapons training is body conditioning. Even taijutsu spar is body conditioning. No pain, No Gain.
I already wear weights enough that walking and standing should be considered body conditioning, but these brutal styles allow me to take it to the next level.
I even use other styles like coiling link, Gentle fist, graceful twist, etc to complement it. But I merge them with concepts of Strong Fist and Overdraw to extract extra power from those styles, at the expenses of self harm. No pain, No gain.
I've actually been learning Hinata's technique to reduce recoil. I've been putting too much strain on myself with training ever since our last c rank mission.
I just am scared of orochimaru, who the Leaf village will face during the chunin exam.
