Chapter 2 - Beginner Package

Takemi wasn't an ordinary person. He had lived a previous life in another world.

He still remembered that day thirteen years ago. He had just gone out for a walk when he suddenly saw an out-of-control excavator.

The timing of his arrival in this world was neither particularly good nor bad.

Being three years older than Naruto, although he avoided the brutal Third Great Ninja War, there were many things he still couldn't do.

For example, just last year, Itachi finally made a decision and then, following in Obito's footsteps, he massacred the entire Uchiha clan.

Whenever he thought of this, Takemi couldn't help but sigh—

Damn it, I transmigrated too late.

If he was a little stronger, he could have tried to strike it rich during that chaotic incident. However, fortunately, he was at least a cheater, having a system.

Cheaters were not uncommon in the Naruto World. Naruto and Sasuke were prime examples of this.

There was no need to say anything about their bloodline. Heck! Even the god of this world, Sage of Six Paths gave them a push during the last arc.

But even having a cheat wasn't much. Facing the top powerhouses of the Naruto world, Naruto and Sasuke nearly died multiple times.

Furthermore, Takemi's system only gave rewards for completing missions.

Compared to those with cheats like extraordinary talent and poweful lineage, his could only be considered a minor cheat.

"Especially since I couldn't even get the beginner's package..."

Whenever he thought of this, Takemi gritted his teeth in frustration.

He couldn't understand why the beginner's package, which should have arrived upon transmigration, required him to first become a Ninja.

Moreover, the definition of this 'Ninja' wasn't just about possessing the power of a ninja. He had to be granted an official title by Konoha.

It looks like no matter which world it is, government jobs are still lucrative.

But if things continue like this, won't he just be cannon fodder in the Chunin Exams?

Even if he survives the Chunin Exams, won't he still be unable to avoid the future Fourth Great Ninja War?

Hit by an excavator before transmigrating, destined to die again after transmigrating?

Wouldn't that make the transmigration pointless?

Fortunately, he still had side missions that could save him.

The side missions were simple. Completing them would grant rewards, but these side missions were also very sketchy.

For example, upon meeting Hinata, strange prompts like [Delicious and Tasty Sisters] appeared.

Even worse, when he met Naruto, a prompt like [Let Naruto and Pain smoke on the ruins of Konoha] actually appeared...

Fortunately, side missions could be declined. But once accepted, they had to be completed no matter what. Otherwise, no other side missions could be accepted.

In addition...

"If I decline too many side missions, the system will judge me as too weak and force them upon me."

[Become Kakashi's only disciple]...

This side mission was something the system had forcefully imposed on him.

He had actually considered graduating early, but the problem was that Konoha after the war was extremely strict about early graduation.

Only Itachi received 'special treatment'. Everyone else had to follow the standard procedure, which basically dashed Takemi's idea.

[Name: Kitagawa Takemi]

[Items: Beginner's Package, Automatic Cleaning Clothes]

"Kakashi's Kenjutsu? Not bad."

As he walked out of the hospital, Takemi looked at his status panel, but his attention was mainly focused on the beginner's package.

Thirteen years!

He had to wait a full thirteen years for a beginner package.

"Takemi."

Just as he was about to hurry home to see what was in the beginner's package, he suddenly heard someone call him from behind.

Turning his head, he saw that it was Guy, who was running towards him.

"Guy-sensei, why are you here?" Takemi immediately collected his thoughts and greeted him with a smile.

Over the years, in order to learn taijutsu, he had 'accidentally' met Guy. With his understanding of Guy, they quickly became close.

Everything he had said to Kakashi was true, and many of the techniques he knew were 'learned' from Guy.

"I heard something happened to you guys."

Guy asked anxiously while examining Takemi from head to toe.

"What happened? How did you end up in the hospital? That Kakashi..."

"Guy-sensei, I'm fine."

Takemi shook his head and continued with a smile, "It wasn't Kakashi-sensei's problem, it was... our own mistake."

Takemi was too embarrassed to say they had an internal team conflict, and this matter was somewhat related to him...

To complete the mission [Become Kakashi's only student], Takemi naturally needed to think it through carefully.

He remembered that one of Kakashi's teams had a 'brotherly harmony' situation. The system likely gave him this mission because of that.

Therefore, after the team assignments, he had contact with his two 'teammates' and constantly 'emphasized' to them that he would definitely become a ninja, showing a determined attitude.

Fortunately, his usual grades were good, and on the day of the assessment, he even used all his might to show his 'strength'.

As for the final bell problem...

Having suffered both mental and physical blows, he was silent at that moment, so the pressure naturally fell on those two boys.

As expected, the two of them drew their swords against each other.

Of course, if they had stolen the bells and been directly deemed failures, Takemi would have had a solution.

That final conversation with Kakashi would just need to be slightly modified.

"I also have to thank you for your guidance, Guy-sensei. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been recognized by Kakashi-sensei."

Takemi bowed slightly to Guy. This was a 'lifesaver'! He even felt that Guy might have done more.

As someone from a civilian background, whose parents had died in the line of duty when he was young, raised by his grandfather, and then became an orphan again...

Through the normal process, he would still have a team leader, but whether it would be a Jonin was hard to say.

After all, Jonins usually instruct members of great clans and elites, not those from ordinary backgrounds.

The main task of a normal team leader is to help newly graduated Genins quickly get used to the Ninja lifestyle and learn various work procedures. Their relationship is more like 'superior and subordinate'.

Suddenly being assigned to Kakashi's team...

Rgardless of the actual situation, he had a feeling that someone had helped.

"It's good that you're okay... Wait?"

Guy was first surprised by these words, then he reacted.

"You mean, you successfully passed Kakashi's assessment?"

"Yes." Takemi nodded.

The next moment, Guy slapped him on the shoulder and gave him a thumbs-up with a smile, his clean white teeth even reflecting the light.

"Not bad, I was worried about you! It's a shame my application didn't go through. Kakashi got a bargain! Alright, to celebrate your successful passing, let's run ten laps around Konoha!"

[Obtain a new side mission: I can run faster than Guy!]

[Defeat Guy in the lap race, do you accept?]

"..."

Takemi grimaced and decisively refused. He really didn't want to waste time right now.

"Guy-sensei, I just finished the test, and Kakashi-sensei told me to rest early to prepare for tomorrow, so..."

"Oh, is that so?"

Guy rubbed his chin, then nodded and continued to smile.

"That's right, you need to rest. Then I'll complete it for you, twenty laps, that's youth!"

With that, he immediately did a handstand and disappeared from Takemi's sight like a puff of green smoke.

After watching Guy leave, Takemi breathed a sigh of relief and then quickly ran towards his home.

Being able to hold back from opening the beginner package until now was already a testament to his caution.

He wanted to see what this beginner package, thirteen years in the making, contained.

He yanked the door open, then quickly hooked it shut with his foot, muttering.

"Open the beginner package!"

In an instant, his vision blurred, and his body trembled.

His breathing became rapid, and the next moment, his eyes went dark, and he collapsed onto the bed.

In his mind, an emotionless voice echoed.

[Beginner package opened]

[Reward: Ōtsutsuki Bloodline (Blank Slate)]

[Host, please develop it properly]
