Chapter 2 - The Contract in Her Office

Jin Zhi sat stiffly on the leather couch, his hands clutched tightly in his lap. He felt like a tiny prey animal dropped into a predator's den.

Across from him sat Bai Xue.

Legs crossed. Back straight. A golden suit that fit her like armor. She flipped through his résumé without looking at him, her face unreadable, eyes sharp and glinting like a blade.

"Ordinary university, average grades, no internship, modest background… Omega, scent classification B."She looked up, eyes pinning him. "Tell me, what makes you think you're qualified to survive in my company?"

"I… I'll work hard…" he whispered, eyes cast down.

She stood.

Click. Click. Click. Each step of her heels echoed like a countdown.

"You know why I picked you?"

He shook his head quickly, not daring to meet her gaze.

"Because you're quiet. Soft. You won't talk back."She leaned down and lifted his chin with two fingers, forcing his trembling eyes to meet hers."And I love taming little things that shake when I touch them."

Jin Zhi's cheeks burned scarlet. His ears drooped, his lips parted but no words came out.

With a casual flick of her hand, she dropped a folder into his lap.

"Sign this. From today on, you belong to me. In the office… and outside of it."

Her voice dipped lower, brushing against his neck.

"In all ways that matter."

Jin Zhi stared at the document."Exclusive Personal Assistant Contract."Fine print: Obey at all times. Available 24/7. No right to refuse orders from Alpha.

His fingers trembled. His thoughts screamed.

But her presence overwhelmed him—dominating, cold, beautiful, and terrifying.

He swallowed.

Then picked up the pen.

And signed.
