Chapter 137 - Chapter 137: The Navy’s Future?! [100 P.S Chapter]

Yoriichi Tsugikuni, striking in fury, held back nothing. His [Breathing Technique] was fully amplified by Haki, pushing his internal abilities to their peak. Armament Haki coursed through his entire body, reinforcing his strength, while Conqueror's Haki clung to his black blade.

At the moment of his strike, thunder cracked under clear skies. In a single flash, Yoriichi's blade sliced clean through the necks of all four CP0 agents.

When his figure reappeared in everyone's line of sight, four masked heads were already tumbling toward the deck.

Boom!!!

A series of heavy thuds followed. Four headless corpses collapsed to the ground, their blood seeping into the cracks of the wooden planks and dripping through the earlier hole in the deck—falling directly onto the prison floor below.

"!!!"

"He really attacked! A Marine just killed CPs from the World Government?!"

"A Rear Admiral from Headquarters killed CP0!!"

On Ship 0, Shanks stared at the white warship's deck in disbelief, unable to hold back a gasp.

Even Roger and the others hadn't expected Yoriichi to act so decisively, let alone that his targets would be their supposed allies from the World Government.

And not just that, he had gone straight for the kill, decapitating them in one swift move. Ruthless, precise, and completely unhesitating. It was hard to believe he was just a boy around Shanks's age.

"Yoriichi!!"

It wasn't until the four CP0 corpses hit the deck that Sengoku snapped out of his stupor. He stared at the boy in disbelief and murmured his name.

Garp's pupils shrank. He immediately soared over and landed beside Yoriichi, glancing down at the bloodied corpses, and asked grimly, "Yoriichi, do you even realize what you've just done?!"

Only now did the tension in Yoriichi's face begin to ease.

Before he struck, he had braced himself for a brutal fight. He even anticipated that Sengoku or Garp might try to stop him.

But to his surprise, these CP0 agents were so… weak. They couldn't even block one of his strikes.

Yoriichi had overestimated the so-called "strongest shield of the Celestial Dragons," and underestimated himself.

Now, he was a top-tier warrior capable of both [Conqueror's Coating] and [Advanced Observation-Killing]. He had nearly killed someone as powerful as Kozuki Oden. He had knocked Jaba, the third strongest on Roger's crew, straight into the sea with a single blow.

Without exaggeration, Yoriichi now possessed combat power on the level of a Yonko. If his stamina could keep up, he might even surpass them. After all, not even Yonko-level opponents could easily survive his advanced observation-killing strikes.

Anyone hoping to survive his attacks needed to be at least a Yonko Commander. CP0 clearly did not qualify. They didn't even have the kind of Haki needed to withstand his blade.

"Vice Admiral Garp," Yoriichi said, voice steady, "I know exactly what I'm doing."

"You might not know what they did."

"But I do."

"I'm executing my justice."

Yoriichi didn't sheath his sword. As he replied to Garp, he looked toward the rest of those on deck and declared,

"Sin that hides behind justice is far more disgusting than sin that stands openly."

"My heart won't allow me to tolerate this."

With those words, Yoriichi vanished from where he stood.

Garp reacted instantly, lunging to catch him and stop whatever he was about to do—but he grasped only empty air. Yoriichi was already gone.

In that moment of hesitation, chaos erupted.

On the white ship, the remaining CP agents in black suits were already collapsing in pools of blood, breathless and unmoving.

A severed head rolled to a stop beside Garp's boot.

Around him, the deck had become a vision of hell.

Blood flowed freely across the wooden planks. Headless bodies littered the scene.

And at the ship's bow, Yoriichi stood tall, his expression unwavering, his gaze fixed on Garp.

On Ship 0, the crew of the Roger Pirates watched in stunned silence. Goosebumps prickled their skin. Even Buggy and Shanks, still just children, had gone pale, their stomachs churning.

Among the Marine officers, one middle-aged Vice Admiral could no longer contain his rage. He pointed at Yoriichi and roared,

"Rear Admiral Yoriichi Tsugikuni! What have you done?! Do you know—"

Before he could finish, Sengoku cut him off.

"Shut up!"

Sengoku's expression was dark and uncertain. He was already calculating possible solutions.

CP0, agents of the World Government had just been slain by a Rear Admiral of the Navy. This would shake the world.

And most certainly, Yoriichi would no longer be able to remain in the Navy. He would be hunted, branded, and pursued by the World Government.

But to the Marines, Yoriichi represented their future. They couldn't afford to lose him over this filth. Sengoku and Garp were united in that conviction.

This scandal had to be buried.

Sengoku's gaze turned toward the nearby Roger Pirates, still watching intently.

On the deck, Garp stared long and hard at Yoriichi. At last, he exhaled sharply, clenching his fists and cursing aloud:

"Fool! You threw your life away for that scum!"

"Yoriichi, didn't Zephyr teach you to think before you act?!"

"This is all that blockhead Zephyr's fault, it has to be!"

While Garp raged, the Roger Pirates sensed Sengoku's stare.

Roger met his eyes for only a moment and immediately understood.

"The Navy's future, huh…"

"A guy like you… if you'd been on my crew, that would've been a hell of a ride."

"What a shame, Yoriichi. We met too late."

Roger looked toward the white warship's bow and sighed.

Then, without warning, he swung his sword, Ace and brought it down on the government ship, severing its deck in one clean blow.

Garp and Yoriichi leapt from the warship, returning to their own vessel. The severed deck slowly sank into the sea, taking the CP corpses with it.

"Hahahahahahaha!"

"Sengoku! I never do anything I don't want to do!"

"But… if Yoriichi stays with the Navy, it'll be fun to watch."

"Garp, Sengoku, you owe me one!"

"Ahahahaha!"

The Marines around him had no idea why Roger was laughing. They stared warily at the Roger Pirates, unsure what to make of his words.

But Sengoku understood perfectly.

Roger returned to his ship and immediately ordered his crew to sail. The Oro Jackson passed straight through the Marine fleet and disappeared over the horizon.

Despite the urge to pursue, the Marines obeyed Sengoku's order to stand down.

Three days later.

Newspapers across the world broke a stunning headline.

In a joint operation between the Navy and CP0 to hunt the Roger Pirates, a massive defeat occurred. Four CP0 agents, touted as the "strongest shield of the Celestial Dragons" were killed in action. Every accompanying CP agent perished.

The world was told the culprits were none other than Pirate King Gol D. Roger and his crew.

As a result, Roger's bounty skyrocketed to 5.5 billion berries. Other crew members also received substantial increases.

Marine officers who participated in the battle refused to speak about it, remaining tight-lipped about the "humiliating defeat."

But the Navy found a way to spin the story. It was reported that they rescued a group of children from Roger's crew—allegedly kidnapped and trafficked.

The claim salvaged some of the Navy's dignity.

The true events of that day? Known only to a very select few.

And from that day on, the name Yoriichi Tsugikuni was rarely heard among Marine officers.

If anyone asked about him, the officers would grow wary, faces stern, and answer only, "I don't know."
