Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 The Prince and the Little Mermaid

She pressed down her cap, looked down at the order, and handed it to the boy:

"It's you here."

The balcony extending in front of the door blocked the sunlight. The boys stood in the shade, but the girls were completely exposed to the scorching sun.

There were beads of sweat on the tip of her nose, and the hand she extended was red from the sun.

Because of the handing action, the girl came closer, and a faint fragrance lingered around. Su Yanbai frowned imperceptibly, glanced at the phone number for ordering food on the order form, took out his mobile phone and dialed it.

The slender white fingers held the phone, and he saw a pair of clear eyes - the girl was looking at him quietly, with a little sweat on her pretty face.

The sunlight shone on her ponytail, reflecting a faint golden color.

Out of politeness, he turned sideways and said calmly, "It's sunny outside, come closer."

The girl was startled for a moment, then thanked him calmly, walked up a step and stood shoulder to shoulder with him.

She didn't look at him, but stared ahead. Her sweaty profile gave off a very peaceful vibe.

The call was quickly connected, and the person on the other end said, "Oh, Brother Su, I forgot to tell you that our internship company doesn't allow takeout. I'll leave it with you first, and I'll pick it up on my way back."

Su Yanbai: "..."

Finally, he calmly replied "OK" and took the box from the girl: "Sorry, my friend didn't tell me...Did I waste your time?"

His fingertips accidentally touched the girl's hand, and he paused. But the next second, the other party withdrew her hand and nodded politely: "You're welcome."

After she finished speaking, she turned and walked down the stairs.

The slender body was exposed to the sunlight again, and the ponytail swayed in a slight arc behind her.

She left.

Unlike the first time they met, when she stared at him in a daze, this time, she didn't even turn her head.

The boy stood there for a while before slightly pursing his thin and pretty lips and turning back into the house.

He picked up the book he had just read halfway, and for some reason, he felt strangely anxious.

I always feel like I did something wrong...

Is he being too rude?

The boy's petal-like thin lips pursed slightly.

But actually, thinking back silently, there was nothing impolite about it. That was his personality, and his attitude towards strangers was just like that, polite but distant.

In the past, it never felt wrong.

——There's really nothing wrong with that.

But... when the other party showed the same distant look as he wished... he actually felt a little irritated because he couldn't get that kind of focused gaze.

what to do...

The handsome boy pursed his lips, staring at the book in his hands with his dark and sparkling eyes. His long eyelashes hid the emotions in his eyes. He looked calm, but he was thinking silently in his heart:

Otherwise, apologize next time...

As this thought flashed through his mind, the boy's delicate eyebrows slightly frowned and he stared at the words in the book in silence.

He never thought of apologizing to anyone.

Besides, what had he done wrong?

...He must be possessed by a demon.

He frowned tightly and pursed his thin lips.

For several days in a row, the girl delivered the takeaway on time. Every time, she would show a bright smile, her clear eyes narrowed into a beautiful crescent shape, and she said in a crisp voice: "Your takeaway."

——That kind of formulaic smile.

After delivering the gifts, he bowed very politely and left without looking back.

The boy looked calm as he looked down at the takeout box. An inexplicable emotion emerged in his beautiful eyes.
