Simon drive out to take a breather. Having a meeting is stressful and a manager who is trying to control is life is worst. He drives along the road and stop at a shop where there is a show case of wedding dresses. He looks at it and imagine how would Lisa look in them. He smile to himself and take out the phone to take the photos. However parking on the street for long is not allow. The traffic officer chase him away after seeing that he had stop his car at the spot for more than fifteen minutes.
That evening they sit together in a restaurant to have dinner together before going to the hospital. They talk about the wedding studios and many other things. They did not notice their surrounding. They only have eyes on each other. Visiting the chairlady is difficult as the old lady will make small guilt on the couple on that she will die without seeing grandchildren. Lisa is made to promise her that she will get pregnant and give birth by the end of the year. While she make her son promise her that wedding photos to be reshoot by end August. They return home feeling the stress that the promise they each give to the chairlady.
Finally on mid week, Lisa find a suitable wedding studio to do a photo shoot in mid May. Also there are wedding dresses and suits to choose from if they don't have anything on hand for the shoot. Hence Lisa go ahead and book the studio for three days indoor and outdoor shot. She quickly message Simon on it. He gives a quick thumbs up icon and hearts as well. He is smiling for the whole day and nothing can actually make him annoyed except for manager Gan.
After Lisa inform Mr Lim to tell chairlady about the studio being book, she start to look for wedding dress. She write down what she wants in the design and color as well as the overall theme. She did not want a cute dress nor over the top nor too sexy nor old fashion. So on a weekend, Simon wants to go on a wedding dress hunt. They spend the whole day going to a few studios. Trying dresses after dresses but there is nothing that Lisa like. Simon on the other hand likes whatever she tries on. He takes pictures and send it to his mother. Hopping that this will cheer her up.
On Sunday morning, Lisa is on the bed when her friends keep chatting on the chat group. They saw a post yesterday evening, A picture of Lisa and Simon in a bridal gown shop.
"Lisa!!"
"She must be still asleep/"
"Did she tell anyone about her getting marry?"
"How can she get marry without us as bride maids!"
"Is she going to marry her boss?! Looks like him, doesn't he?"
While on Simon's mobile phone, manager Gan is texting him non stop. She is asking him to attend a university gathering. He is not keen to go thus he keep rejecting her. She keep pleading and call him a few times. Simon refused to pick up her calls. Having to deal with her at work is stressful enough. He is not to see her on weekends as well. Simon rather see his wife trying wedding dress. He flip the pictures through his phone. He likes every single dresses that she try on. He too doesn't know which dress will be nicest for her.
Lisa meanwhile is in her apartment learning to make a another pound cake with decorations. By the time she have one done, it is almost time for dinner and they agree to have dinner together. She rush to clean up the counter and head to the shower room. After a warm shower, she look into her wardrobe to find a suitable dress. She guess that he might be in his gym like outfit. So she pick up a tee with a hoody jacket and jogger pants. She put on light makeup and have one side of her hair pin up. She message him that she is heading upstairs. She walk up and enter his apartment. it is quiet and the lights are not on. She look around to find him asleep on his lounge chair in his room. He must be tired. So she have his blanket and place on him tenderly. Before she walk away a chat message pop up. She see it is from manager Gan. She is still talking about university gathering. Lisa is slightly disappointed but there is nothing she can do. They know each other longer than her knowing him.
She sits in his living room reading the chat messages from her friends. How did they get the picture and from where, she wants to ask in the chat group but she knows that if she post a message there, the girls will talk no stop. Now it is all quiet and peaceful. Thus she decided not to post any message to disrupt the peace and quiet. She look at the old wedding photo at the living room. They really look like a couple who is taking a mug shot at the police station. No smile nothing. However at that time, there is nothing to smile about. A force marriage between two person is not some happy event. She wonder how is her sister fairing. Is her life better as she said.
