Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: This Is Too Much to Lose!

The Boxing Rabbit was instantly provoked by the taunts of the Thousand-Change Silkworm. Its eyes turned a deeper shade of red, glowing with a fierce and seductive light. Its fists clenched tightly, producing a cracking sound.

The dull pain in its body faded at that moment.

Its muscles bulged, and its entire body brimmed with power.

Originally, it was a skinny rabbit, but now it looked more like a muscular fighter.

He Qingyuan was stunned at first, then seemed to realize something. He mocked Ye Bai, saying, "Ye Bai, your Boxing Rabbit has entered a berserk state."

"This state has a probability of only one in a thousand."

"I'm sorry, but I've already won this battle."

He Qingyuan wore a smug expression.

"Go, Boxing Rabbit!"

In its berserk state, the Boxing Rabbit felt invincible. It tightened its fists and approached the Thousand-Change Silkworm step by step.

The Thousand-Change Silkworm stood still, its large eyes swiveling curiously.

It seemed a bit confused about the sudden transformation of the Boxing Rabbit.

To the silkworm, the Boxing Rabbit looked rather appetizing. A trickle of drool appeared at the corner of its mouth.

To He Qingyuan, the silkworm's stillness meant it had been overwhelmed by the Boxing Rabbit's aura.

"Hahaha! Your pet is scared stiff by the Boxing Rabbit's aura!"

"Look at it drooling. Disgusting."

He Qingyuan sneered, as if he had seen something filthy.

"Now's your chance, Boxing Rabbit—hit it with all you've got!"

The Boxing Rabbit's fist emitted a faint white glow as it swung directly at the Thousand-Change Silkworm's head.

A sharp sound sliced through the air, glowing with pale light. Some students couldn't bear to watch and closed their eyes, afraid to see the silkworm's head getting smashed in.

Boom!

The Boxing Rabbit struck, but intense pain surged through its own fist, and it was sent flying backward.

Everyone had learned physics: the force of impact is matched by the force of reaction.

The Boxing Rabbit tumbled like a ragdoll, rolling across the ground and kicking up dust before finally coming to a halt in a cloud of smoke.

Ye Bai gave a mocking smile. "He Qingyuan, I told you—you need to pay more attention in class."

"The Thousand-Change Silkworm's head is the hardest part of its body. You couldn't have chosen a worse spot."

"Are you serious? The Thousand-Change Silkworm's defense is several times higher than most. Even drill ants can't penetrate it—what chance does your level-one Boxing Rabbit have?"

From the start of the bet, Ye Bai had already foreseen this outcome.

He Qingyuan's pupils dilated in disbelief. Lost? The Boxing Rabbit actually lost?

A wave of fear surged in his chest.

He hadn't just failed to defeat Ye Bai—he had lost his insect stone and resource box.

And worst of all: the invitation letter from the Longteng Auction House.

He had secretly taken that letter from his father to show off to his classmates.

Now, it had become part of a bet—and he'd lost.

A storm of regret and despair engulfed He Qingyuan.

Clutching his hair and curling forward, he was overwhelmed.

If his family found out, his status would plummet.

The promised resources and pet beasts would be revoked, and losing the resource box would mean missing critical early growth opportunities.

And even worse—he had lost the Longteng Auction House invitation letter.

His father would beat him senseless.

His eyes turned red with panic. He now looked like a gambler who had lost everything. "You must've cheated!"

"Otherwise, how could a versatile silkworm defeat a berserk Boxing Rabbit?"

The students erupted in murmurs—He Qingyuan couldn't accept defeat.

The battle had been observed from all angles and recorded with high-definition cameras.

And yet he dared to accuse Ye Bai of cheating?

Seriously?

"Watch your mouth, He Qingyuan," Ye Bai said coldly. "You can eat anything you like, but you can't say just anything."

"That's slander."

"Do you think all the students here are blind?"

"If you can't afford to lose, then just admit it. Don't stand there barking nonsense."

Ye Bai's words hit hard.

Just then, Zhang Lingxue stepped forward. She knelt beside the Boxing Rabbit and confirmed it had fallen unconscious. Ye Bai and the Thousand-Change Silkworm had clearly won.

"Ye Bai is the winner."

"According to the terms of the bet, He Qingyuan must hand over his resource box, the mid-grade insect stone—"

"—and the invitation letter from the Longteng Auction House."

Zhang Lingxue stood with her hands on her hips, her voice steady and clear.

She felt no sympathy for He Qingyuan—he had brought this upon himself.

Though Ye Bai's awakened talent wasn't exceptional, he was a strong candidate for scientific research and a seeded player for Shenshan Middle School.

Principal Liu Hang had plans for Ye Bai to compete in the Youlin Cup and earn credentials.

It had been He Qingyuan's family that had eyed Ye Bai's resources and forced him into this duel, trying to seize his resource box.

If that hadn't happened, He Qingyuan might have only lost a second-tier insect stone.

The school's resource boxes were generous, often enough to evolve a pet beyond its juvenile stage—and sometimes they contained rare treasures from Principal Zhang Dashan's collection.

The bet had backfired, and He Qingyuan had lost even more.

Zhang Lingxue's eyes flashed with icy resolve.

Shenshan Middle School was sacred. Such threats against students could not be tolerated.

"Hahaha!"

He Qingyuan laughed like a madman.

"Ye Bai, even if I lost, your pet shop has already been sealed by the city patrol. I only lost a box and a letter—but you've lost what's most precious to you."

"Hand over the resource box you have now, or your pet beasts might never return."

He Qingyuan shouted, provoked by Ye Bai's confident smile. He let slip the ugly truth.

"He Qingyuan's gone mad—he dares say that out loud?"

"Isn't this outright robbery?"

"And the school's just going to let it slide?"

His words were like a boulder thrown into a tranquil lake, sending ripples of panic through the student body.

Students without strong backing clenched their fists, palms sweating.

Would they be next?

If they remained silent now, who would speak for them later?

He Qingyuan's outburst had struck a nerve.

Zhang Lingxue stood up and raised her voice. "Everyone, rest assured—no one can take your resource boxes."

"The school will investigate this matter thoroughly. If such actions are discovered, the school will intervene."

"No one can threaten you."

"The school will always be your shield. Believe in that."
