Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Pale Raven

The city was asleep...

Except for a few lamps flickering on both sides of the road, silence dominated everything. Silence... except for a man's footsteps—walking alone with a straight back, wearing a dark coat and a heavy hat that concealed most of his features. His name was Eliot Gray.

He wasn't just walking; he was watching. Calculating.

Every step was not only forward—but a deeper dive into a long, hidden war.

He turned left into an alley, then stopped. His golden eyes reflected the moonlight, and the sound of a faint whistle followed.

Something had arrived.

A black raven landed on the lamp above his head. It stared at Eliot with unusual intelligence.

And Eliot spoke.

> "You're late."

The raven cawed once and dropped something from its leg. A small, round capsule.

Eliot caught it effortlessly.

> "So it begins," he murmured, crushing the capsule between his fingers.

In that moment, something awakened inside him.

A pulse of power—cold, sharp, precise. It was Methan.

The energy split within him like veins of light:

Body Energy to enhance his movement.

Control Energy to manipulate objects.

Enhancement Energy to shield and amplify.

And then... a glimmer of Special Energy—the rarest of all.

His rank? Still unknown.

But one thing was clear:

Tonight, Eliot Gray wasn't just watching. He was about to enter the shadows of a kingdom that thought itself safe.

The raven flew away. Eliot fol

lowed.

And the city… never woke up again.
